Review: Nude by Nature Hydra Serum Mineral Radiance
I don't know about you, but it's like it literally went from Autumn one day, and Winter the next! With the plunging temperatures, low necklines of the same depth have disappeared from my wardrobe, and instead, I'm rugging up every time I even think about leaving the house. It's about this time of year that I also lose some colour from my face, and as my sister once said to me - I didn't think you got this pale! With sisters like that, who needs enemies, am I right?
Jokes aside, I do get quite fair when the weather turns cold, just like lots of other people, and given that I'm currently still eschewing foundation, I use a lot of liquid illuminator to give me my daily, dewy complexion. While I do tend to lean into the colour that I am that season, I also find that I occasionally need a bit of a boost to my skin tone so that I can look a little 'healthier, as my colouring is more skewed towards being a little darker than not. I've been using the Nude By Nature Hydra Serum Mineral Radiance Drops in Bronze, which is a bronzey brown shade, and it's been really lovely for my skin.
This lightweight serum is designed to help boost the hydration, and given that it's infused with mineral pigments, this can create a sheer, light reflecting finish, without having it feel heavy or greasy. Instead, this is meant to give the skin a soft radiance, while leaving it feeling fresh and breathable. It's also a hybrid makeup/skincare product that contains glycerin and ceramide, to keep the skin happy, while helping it look dewy. This is quite versatile, and can be worn on it's own, under your makeup, or mixed into your foundation, so that you can be left with a luminous complexion that continues to shine, even when you're not wearing this.
To use this, I shake it before applying a few drops to my skin, so that I can have a bit of a natural glow. I have also placed a few drops into my foundation previously, which can help with adding a bit of diffused sheen to my skin, so that I can build upon that. This is also available in Pearl, which looks to be more of a golden pink shade, and might be better as a highlighter on strategic points, like the cheekbones and forehead. I love that this is suitable for all skin types, and it doesn't leave my skin feeling tacky or uncomfortable, and just gives it a glow.
The serum comes in a plastic bottle with a screw cap that has metallic sheen to it. It has somewhat of a rosy scent, which I quite like, and it's easy to blend into the skin. Bronze leaves my skin with a bit of colour to it, which does look quite natural, and is great for when my skin is looking a little dull in the Winter. Formulated with seed oils, this plant based water-based serum is vegan, and also has Vitamin E to help condition the skin and fight off free radicals. Currently available for $34.95 for 30 ml of product, this can be found where Nude By Nature is stocked. What's your favourite skin pick me up?
