Review: Palmer's Skin Success Fade Milk Tone Correcting Body Lotion

I'm getting the impression that 2019 is a big year for Palmer's - given all the I've had the chance to try over the last few months from them, I've been deeply impressed, and I'm chomping at the bit to talk about their brand new range!

I was sent the Skin Success range a couple of months ago, and I've been busy trying out, and finishing, the body lotion. Talk about awesome!

What exactly is the Skin Success range, and why would you consider adding it to your cart? Their Skin Success Anti-Dark Spot range focuses on addressing discoloration and fading it, thus improving  the appearance of pigmentation, leading to brighter, more even skin tone.

The Fade Milk Tone Correcting Body Lotion comes with some big claims, namely that it will correct dark spots and even skin tone. It is also meant to brighten skin, balance tone, correct discoloration, deeply moisturise and enhance radiance and glow. This one bottle houses several key ingredients, including niacinamide, retinol, vitamin E, Songyi mushroom extract, vitamin C, licorice extract and enhanced moisturizers, all put together to do all of those things mentioned above. It leaves out things like parabens, phthalates, sulfates and dyes, for those who are concerned. Palmer's is also against animal testing, which I feel is not mentioned nearly enough when it comes to the brand.

This comes in a 250 ml bottle, which feels absolutely tiny to me. The bottle has the type of lid that you need to press down on one side to get the product out. The lotion itself has a slightly runny consistency, and it gets absorbed incredibly quickly - there is no tackiness to the skin, nor do you have to stand around for too long while you're waiting for it to sink in. There is also the added bonus of this smelling incredible. I mean, if there's one thing that Palmer's is absolutely known for, it's the scent of their products, going from the cocoa butter range that just about everyone is familiar with, to the Natural Fusions hair care range from earlier this year.

Well, say hello to the Skin Success collection and their beautifully scented goodies! I can't quite put my finger on it, but it reminds me of a perfume I've had in the past. I love that this has a scent that does linger, and I keep catching a whiff of it throughout the day. The other thing I do love about this, which does sounds a little odd, is that I feel like my elbows look better than they did. I know that it isn't an area that we discuss a lot, but I tend to think that my elbows can get a little patchy and scaly. They do look a lot better now!

I'm still working on fading the pigmentation on my chest, as Asians are quite prone to pigmentation, and while I can still see it, I feel like it doesn't look as dark as it did. I will keep working on it, though, and keep my fingers crossed that it continues to fade away!

I'm looking forward to trying out the Dark Spot Corrector next - what would you try from the range? Do you have an area you'd like to focus on?
