Review: Shea Moisture Hydrating Body Wash

Summer is oddly one of the most reactive times of the year for my skin, or perhaps not that odd, given that heat rashes aren't uncommon amongst people, and atopy (being allergic to environmental contaminants) can be a seasonal issue. As such, it's great trying out something that isn't freaking my skin out.

The Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Body Wash isn't anything I thought it would be like. This bottle of body wash comes in a clear plastic bottle with a lid that you press on one end to allow a little opening to appear on the other side. The product itself is a light yellow, and of a lighter than medium consistency, and is almost runny.

This doesn't lather up greatly, and but does feel semi-creamy on the skin, which I quite like, without smothering the skin. The scent of it is partly due to the frankincense that's in it, as well as myrhh extracts. While this also contains coconut oil, I definitely never get that scent in there at all. Overall, this has a very subtle fragrance. This retails for about $25 for 384 ml of product, and can be found at Priceline.

I'd also be interested in putting this through the paces for the cooler months, so I might hang onto it for a bit, rather than finish it up at this point. What have you tried from Shea Moisture, and what are you looking to get your hands on?
