Review: Saturday Skin Balancing Act Skin Smoothing Lotion

Spending time on social media is definitely bad for my bank account, because that's where I tend to find brands that I wasn't aware of before, and start new lemmings for products that could, according to the posts, change my life - too tempting not to consider, right?
Well, I'm hoping that this starts a little brain worm (ie an idea that won't go away until it's satisfied) in someone, because Saturday Skin is way too cute not to try!

Firstly, let's have a quick chat about the brand! Saturday Skin is a Korean beauty brand that is dermatologist tested, and they aim to preserve the skin by using a mix of Eastern and Western technologies.

The Balancing Act Skin Smoothing Lotion promises to minimise the appearance of small lines and wrinkles, as well as that of pores. It also claims to brighten and smooth the skin's appearance, while retaining moisture. This is free of parabens, sulfates, artificial colour and fragrance. Sounding pretty good so far, right?

This comes in a frosted pastel pink bottle that contains 120 ml of lotion, and feels incredibly sturdy. The silver cap is easy to remove, and the pump works extremely efficiently, producing a pea-sized amount of white lotion each time. I find that three pumps should cover the face and decolletage nicely. This gets absorbed quickly without leaving any residue.

While I've been using this in the Winter and finding that it does seem to hydrate the skin nicely, I feel like this would be appropriate for the warmer months as well, given that it's not particularly heavy. I don't find this to have a scent that I can pick up at all, and it's quite pleasant on the skin.

If you're after something heavy, this won't be for you. However, if you're after something to maintain the skin you're in, and to keep your skin nicely moisturised, then you should head to Myer to check out their range!

This retails for $59, and for the amount you get, it feels like quite a bargain! I'm looking forward to trying out the rest of the range, and to picking up a few more face masks when I get the chance to. Have you tried anything from Saturday Skin before? What would you be interested in trying?
