Review: MUD Hydrating CC Cream and Mascara *
MUD is a brand that is sold in Woolworths and one that I've become a little familiar with in recent months. In fact, if you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend getting the gel liner - one of my favourite finds of this year!
I digress... I was given the the chance to try out a few more products from the line recently and jumped at the chance - more potential holy grail products hiding in a budget friendly, super accessible setting? Definitely!
Sadly, this doesn't do a huge amount for my lashes. It seems to mostly just darken my already dark lashes, but doesn't add much else to it. This may be good for someone with pale lashes that need a bit of lift while trying to be subtle.
Next, I gave the CC cream a go, and I have to say, I found this far more promising! The cream provides only sheer coverage, suitable for when you're looking to even out your skin tone (Colour Correct, anyone?), and ends with a dewy finish. It's not a particularly thick consistency, and does blend into the skin quite well. This doesn't get patchy on my skin, and it''s great that it contains SPF 30!
I found the medium to dark a little too dark for me at this time of the year, but overall. a great product. I think, however, that the range is very limited in terms of shades.
I tried out the mascara first. It comes in a black tube, and doesn't have much of a chemical-ish scent to it, which I appreciate. The brush, like the tube, is quite fat, and this makes it a little tricky to get to the shorter lashes.

Sadly, I didn't find any holy grail items in this lot, but the CC cream is very promising, and certainly something that I see myself reaching for a lot when the weather starts to heat up (and when I get my tan back!).
You can pick these babies up in Woolworths.
Have you tried any of these products before?

That CC cream looks okay, but that mascara doesn't sound too good. You can tell from the brush it's not going to do what you want it to haha. A shame about that! xx
ReplyDeleteSome mascaras just don't do huge amounts for my lashes, but this was just a little too unexciting.
DeleteI'm familiar with the MUD polishes, but not the cosmetics. The medium CC is very dark, there's no way I could pull that off at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've actually tried any of the polishes before!
