Review: Blinc Mascara Amplified, Eyebrow Mousse and Eye Shadow Base Primer *

Ok, it's official, I'm in love, and her name is Blinc. For the longest time, I thought that Blinc only had mascaras in their artillery, back when I first discovered it in David Jones, but nooooo... It's so much more than that!

I was recently given the chance to discover a large part of the whole collection, and I've more than enjoyed reviewing them. Let me walk you through what I've had the fortune to play around with, and why you should be looking closer at Blinc products the next time you're at David Jones. For the purpose of not overloading the senses with too much pretty, I've split the products into two different posts, so keep your eyes peeled for the other half!

I love the way the products are packaged. Each has it's own little metal tube with inserts that contain instructions on how to use them. Easy peasy!

1) Mascara Amplified - To give this mascara the credit that it deserved, I used my friend Miss SV as the model. Here are her lashes plain, with curling, half and half and with mascara on both sets. I think the pictures speak for themselves!

This is easy to apply, smudge free and incredibly easy to remove. All it takes is water and some gentle pressure, and the little 'tubes' come right off. Having tried the usual mascara and the amplified, however, Miss SV felt they were pretty similar on her.

I wouldn't expect it to necessarily volumise or lengthen with one stroke, but you can build upon it a little to get to a point that you're happy with.

This retails for $35.95.

2) Eyebrow Mousse - Er. Mer. Gherd. If I thought that my current go to for brows was good, I wasn't prepared for how blown away I was going to feel once I got my hands on this! This is water fast, which means that even when I rub my brow, because it's itching, it doesn't come off.

For me, Dark Brunette is the perfect shade and it holds, hold, holds. I love it, and it is literally my new favorite go to brow product.

This retails for $35.95 and you can find this in a variety of shades, so there's something for everyone.

3) Eye Shadow Base Primer - This has a wand that allows you to apply just the right amount of primer onto the lids. This primer holds the eye shadows well, doesn't let it crease and let me tell you, after a 12 hour day at work, the last thing I want to worry about is how bleurgh I look in the evenings while trudging my tired bones home.

It comes with a doe foot applicator and it's easy to be heavy handed with this, so perhaps dab some on your finger before putting it on the lids.

With this product, you can be seriously sparing with it - a little goes a long way for me! Like the others, this also retails for $35.95.

And so ends part one! Make sure you stick around for my other post on Blinc, featuring their (spoiler!) gorgeous palette!

Have you tried anything by Blinc? What do you like the look of?

* These products were provided for my consideration, but my opinions, as always, are my own.

  3. Isnt it the best product on the market! I had accidently dropped the mascara wand and it hit my top on the way down, panicking I went to wash it off and it turned the smudge into a ball and it simply fell off.

  5. I've been using the Dior Lash primer before applying mascara and its really awesome had giving extra length, I might give the Blinc one a go though since its probably way more cheaper too!
