Budget Buys: 5 Under $5

We've all been there - it's been a long, hard day at work, and you're feeling stressed out about life in general. That's when you start thinking about IT. You need a fix, you're looking to score and you can't stop thinking about how that little something could make it all better.

Alas, you're on a budget, so what do you do? Read this post, of course! As a seasoned bargain hunter, I've come up with five of my favourite beauty buys under $5 for the next time you're out and about, seeking that next big thing.

Without further ado, here's what made the list:

1) Soap and Glory Flake Away - Take away this Flake Away! In the mini size, this $5 wonder will have your back (and your front!) in the shower, I love the size of the granules and the scent - one of my favourite scrubbing buddies! You can find this at Mecca Maxima.

2) Boe Beauty Matte Lipstick in NYC Matte Red - This lipstick stains! It doesn't go on particularly smoothly, but it doesn't tug either. This stays put relatively well, and the lipstick range from Boe Beauty is only $2, which means you can try out all sorts of colours to see how they look on your lips.

3) Revo Lip Balm - This little baby comes in a variety of different flavours, and the one pictured above is coconut. I love how hydrating this is, and how round the packaging is!

4) Ulta3 Gel Look Nail Colour in Peacock Purple - See here for my review on it. Ulta3 always manages to churn out nail polishes that knock me off my feet. Too gorgeous!

5) Typo Sleep Mask - Not technically a beauty product, but let's face it, sleep is our best (and quite possibly, favourite) secret weapon to battle dull skin. For people who need that little extra something to sleep with, Typo has a range of great sleep masks, generally for very reasonable prices, including this one at less than $5.

Look out for these beauties the next time you need a pick me up, and want to pick things up!
