Battle Of The Lipbalms: EOS vs Revo *

Due to people who love EOS, or have been trying to get their hands on some, Revo was received with open arms here in Australia, but is it worth the hype? Retailing for $4.99, these adorable lippies can be found in store in Australia - I think I might seen it at my local Priceline.

These babies come in Coconut, Cherry, Watermelon, Tangerine, Blue Razzberry, Strawberry and Melon Mint, and I would love to try out the entire range!

Much like it's less accessible counterpart, Revo comes in a cute, round container that gets you to pucker up every time you apply it (or at least I do!). It doesn't have a thumb groove on the outside, but has three raised curvy lines on the outside instead.

Just try not to drop either of them - they bounce and roll around for a bit, making it hard to grab, but easy to make a fool of yourself in public.

The shape of the balm itself is a little different too, in that EOS starts off round already, while the Revo balm has a flat surface to begin with. They are both similar in that the scent is quite noticeable when you first open the container, but it doesn't linger.

But what you're itching to know is - which one comes out ahead?

Honestly, they both have their merits. I absolutely loved EOS from the get go. It sits well on the lips and makes it feel like there's a bit of a barrier, fighting against chapped lips! This feels a little thin on the kisser.

Revo, on the other hand, feels a lot more like it sinks into the lips, hydrating and soothing, rather than just sitting on the lips. This has a slightly sweet-ish taste and it prevents serious chapping in this cold, dry weather. This is just amazing on the lips - smooth, thick and moisturising.

I hate to show favouritism to my little babies, but honestly, in a throw down, all out fight, Revo would certainly emerge the victor!

Don't just take my word for it - I'd highly suggest you try them out yourself!

What flavour would you get? Have you tried either balm before?

* The Revo balm was provided for my consideration, but my opinions, as always, are my own

  8. I think it would be hard, if not impossible, to use them once they're near the end. I prefer tinted balms too, so I haven't been won over by these.
