Australian/Canadian Drugstore Swap!

So, a few weeks ago, I thought I'd mix things up a little, and contact a Canadian blogger about doing a drugstore makeup swap! Jen runs Vibrant, Vivacious Veracious Beauty Blog and does quite a few gorgeous looks and has a cute little cat named Sadie. If you're curious about what I got for Jen, head over to her blog and have a peek!

Here's everything I got in her parcel! She, very thoughfully, included a bunch of Godiva truffles - yummers! I swivelled from chocolate to cosmetics when everything came pouring out, and I couldn't decide what to focus on, so, of course, I had to eat some while looking through the package!

Let me also say that she wrapped everything up nicely in tissue paper, and in my haste to rip into it, I, uh, literally ripped into it, so there are not shots of it all wrapped up, for which I do apologise.

1) NYC IndividualEyes - This looks very interesting! This is kind of an all in one for the eyes, to create different looks. Love it! This even comes with a primer and 4 different shades. Can't wait to create a look with this!

2) Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Palette in Petal Pusher - LOOOOOOOVEEEEE Wet n Wild palettes! I already have the Comfort Zone palette, and love it, so I squealed when I saw this! How gorgeous is it?

3) Hard Candy Nail Polish in King of Pop - This looks like confetti! Or very speckly Easter eggs! Either way, it's going to look amazeballs on my fingertips!

4) NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel in Rock the Party! - This looks like a duochrome purple and green nail polish, which is just going to be plain old distracting every time I looks at my hands! I love pretty distractions!

5) Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Bold Gold - Lots of shiny in this package! I know that we have this one here as well, but I never got around to trying them, so it's nice to receive one! I'm going to try this as a base for my shadows.

6) Montagne Jeunesse Pore Cleansing Sauna Masque in Hot Chocolate - this is another brand that we also get here, but I haven't seen this particular floating around, and, honestly, it says CHOCOLATE! Get on my face! I like it, no matter what!

7) L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara - I believe that this is called False Lash Butterfly Wings over here, and I have the same one already, which I haven't tried yet. HOWEVER, I could always use more mascara, and I've heard plenty of awesome about this (that, and it's about $26 over here!), so this is an awesome bonus!

8) Wet n Wild Lipstick in Wine Room - O. M. G. I love lippies, I won't lie, so seeing 3 lippies in this package was awesome! This is a gorgeous pinky red, and I am itching to get it out of the shrink wrap!

9) Hard Candy Hydrating Lip Stain in Mauveous - Pretty! I love my jumbo crayons (Clinique, I'm looking at you) and Hard Candy is a lovely cruelty free addition to my collection! This is a pretty red colour.

10) Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain in Pinky Promise - As stated, it's a gorgeous pink! Sadly, this one got a little moved around in transit, and arrived slightly smooshed, but no less pretty! Jen was incredibly apologetic about it, despite the fact that it certainly wasn't her fault.

And there you have it! We both have some very pretty toys for the next few weeks. I'm so glad Jen was happy to go ahead with this, because she got me some absolutely gorgeous items! Thank you so much, Jen!

Have you ever done a swap before? What's your favourite North American drugstore brand, or, if you're there, what's your favourite Aussie brand?

  1. Yay, so nice to see everything all together! Really hope you enjoy it all- I've been quite impressed with the quality of NYC shadows and I thought you might like the Wet N' Wild palette! Hard Candy All Glossed Up in Mauveous is perhaps my most-used lip crayon (versatile shade and soo long wearing!) and I hope the Wet N' Wild one is as well, despite being smushed! Sorry to hear you already have that mascara- hope you really like it so that it'll be handy to have a back-up :)

Thanks again for a lovely swap! xo
