Review: Polished London Dry Shampoo in Blighty Brunette and Cornwall Coconut *

Blighty Brunette; Cornwall Coconut

I think I started using dry shampoo about 3 years ago, and back then, it used to be quite sporadic. These days, I find myself reaching for it on about the 3rd day or so. As such, dry shampoo is now firmly a part of my normal routine.

Polished London is a brand that I wasn't familiar with up until a few weeks ago. I was asked recently if I wanted to trial some dry shampoo from Polished London, and received two cans, Cornwall Coconut and Blighty Brunette.

Cornwall Coconut

Cornwall Coconut doesn't have a terribly coconutty scent, which is good, because I'm not a big fan of coconut scents (or taste!) generally. This is pretty lightweight and doesn't leave a sticky residue behind.

Blighty Brunette

Prior to this, I had no experience with colour specific dry shampoos, and while I never thought I had any trouble brushing it out so that I didn't look like I had a head full of terrible dandruff, I knew that some of my friends complained about it as an issue.

When I used this, it worked as well as it's non-colour specific friend, but looked like it added a bit of a shine to my hair, making me wonder if I did sometimes have problems with the white-ish sheen left behind by most dry shampoos! Eep...

As you can see, there's is an obvious difference in colour! And now that I've been introduced to colour specific dry shampoo, I'm an absolute convert, and have actually bought another 3 cans of this! This works well at absorbing the oil at my roots, letting me go to work without greasy, lanky hair - great when you didn't think you needed to wash it that day, only to be proven wrong and left without time for a shampoo!

You can find this at Priceline for $4.95 for 150ml - for someone who sprays liberally, this is definitely good value!

Have to tried this brand before? Do you use dry shampoo often?

  1. Oh wow! how interesting!!! Does it stain your pillows or anything after a day of having it sprayed on? I just finished my batise dry shampoo and tbh I quite liked it on greasy hair days.

    1. I don't know - that's a good question! I don't think it would, as it does dry very quickly.

  2. I've tried other brunette dry shampoos, and really liked them. Might give this one a go next time I'm buying
