Review: Natralus Natural Hydrating Lip Oil

It's Sunday, and I'm not going to lie. It hasn't been my favourite week weatherwise. I've somehow managed to miss the window of warmth and sun when it was laundry day, twice, and at this point, I'm hoping for better days ahead, because this weekend, I'll be heading to K'gari, also known as Fraser Island, and that is of course, in Queensland, which means that the weather might be a little less terrible than it has been here in Sydney. This means that I'll be spending today packing essentials, and for me, that's clearly going to be my swimmer, an tube to float down the river, and some sunscreen. I'll also be needing to pack something for my lips to stop them from chapping, and keep them comfortable, given that I'll also in the in the air for at least an hour and a half.

The challenge that I'm also presented with when it comes to taking  domestic holidays is that I can never pass up a good bargain, which means I have spent a lot of money on Jetstar flights, and it's been both a blessing and a curse. Those who are familiar Jetstar will know exactly what I'm talking about! Sure, you can pick up a very cheap flight when they are super sale, like recently, when they had their birthday sale. I mean, I once flew to Brisbane with the other half, just for the day, to have lunch there, before coming back - it was only $18 per person, each way, and totally worth it! It's a crazy time when paying for luggage is far pricier than simply getting your bum on the plane! But I digress. What that truly means is that given that I like to spend the bare minimum to reset my mental health, because I need multiple resets a year, I tend to only buy flights and no other extras, which means I am limited to 7 kg of carry on. This includes everything, from my handbag to my essential and packing light has simply become an art in itself.

Packing takes serious work, and everything has to be considered carefully before adding it to your bag, which is also something that you need to think about, because they tend to be very strict, and you'd need to pay extra at the gate for going over the limit. Ultimately, it means that when I take a product with me, it has to be something I really believe in, and one such product is the Natralus Hydrating Lip Oil! There are three versions of this little beauty, and I feel like while they might be similar, they all serve a slightly different purpose.

Firstly, there's the Original, which is a plain oil that goes over the lips beautifully, and is quite thin. I find that I have to top this up more often, and I reach for this on hot humid days. Then, there's the Pomegranate version. This has a bit of an almost citrusy scent to it, and the slightest hint of colour, which I appreciate, but wish it were more prominent, so that I could wear this on it's own more, rather than as a hydrating glaze over my lip colour. I quite like this for a bit of a something elevated above the original, and it almost feels a little thicker than the original to me.

Last but not least, there's the Paw Paw one, which is the thickest of them all, and honestly, possibly my favourite! This feels richer on my lips, and it doesn't seem to wear off quite as quickly. I also love that this keeps my lips feeling soft and supple and chap free. It's designed for repair, rather than just hydration, which is why it's thicker, and therefore better in cold dry weather. They are all packaged very similarly, with different writing on the label, so just make sure you know which one you're picking up, especially when you're in a hurry! These have a doe foot applicator as part of the cap, and it comes in a white tube with a shiny foil circle on the front. The formula includes hyaluronic acid in all three of them, and they retail for just under $17 each. You can find them over here. Are you a fan of Natralus and their gorgeous products?
