Review: Go To Oil Over Body Oil

Happy Monday, babes! We're trudging forward into the last month of Autumn, but in the meantime, I hope you've all had an amazing sunny weekend! It's been gorgeous, and I've certainly enjoyed the warm, dry days. That said, though, my skin can tell that the weather has changed. and that it's time to get deeply moisturised, because the dry patches on my legs are threatening to come through. That said, that's easily remedied by switching up my skincare routine, from my body care to the skincare for my face, and that means using the Go To Oil Over Body Oil.

Let's talk how you're going to keep your skin moisturised this season! If you think that you're immune to the drying powers of all the changes in your environment, think again. Aside from the temperatures dropping, and the moisture levels in the air reducing, you also have to consider that you're probably having much hotter showers, which can be drying on the skin, and that's even before we bring the heaters into the equation. If you're not replenishing the loss of moisture in the skin, then you're going to have to readjust the way you think!

I've been using the Go To Oil Over Body Oil, which has since revamped their packaging, but the goodness remains. It now looks like it comes in a frosted bottle with a pull off cap, but at the time of writing this, I was using the previous packaging, which was released in 2022, which is comprised of an opaque plastic bottle in their signature pale salmon shade. The formula is said to be skin firming and glow inducing, so that your skin can feel nourished and replenished.

The oil is infused with essential fatty acids, antioxidants and some skin loving ingredients, including squalene, which is fabulous for keeping the skin moisturised. There's also COQ10, which is soothing on the skin, and can help with with skin repair. Additionally, there's jojoba and almond oils as part of the formula, and these help to keep the skin moisturised and nourished. Last but not least, it has something really fun, Electric Daisy, which is supposed to improve skin firmness and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

This is an oily oil, but that simply means not needing a lot of it to keep the skin smooth and soothed. This has a light, vanilla type scent to it, which I quite like, and makes me think of marshmallows, which is how soft my skin feels. I do like that it's oily without being too slippery, which means that I don't have to wait for long before putting my clothes on after a shower, nor does it make the clothes stick to my skin too much. I will say that it's a good oil, but it does come with a bit of a price tag, sitting at $51 for 100ml of product. What's your favourite body oil for the Winter?
