Review: SumaNurica Pro5 Age-Defying Peptide Cream
Life is definitely easier when you're younger, as is your skincare routine. As I've gotten older, over the years, I have increased the range of products that's in active rotation, while also seeking out skincare items with interesting active ingredients. I've also come to realise that one of the best all rounders has to be my face cream. For example, I sometimes use the same one in the morning and again in the evening, so it's imperative that it works well on me, and it should also have a great active ingredient, while being hydrating.
For me, SumaNurica's Pro5 Age-Defying Pepetide Cream ticks a lot of boxes, and I'm here to tell you why! This luxuriously rich cream has multiple benefits, including the promotion of smoother and more youthful-looking skin by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while also supporting the skin barrier to help achieve healthier skin and a luminous complexion. This is also meant to help nourish and hydrate the skin, as well as preventing the loss of water from the skin barrier.
Additionally, this is said to improve skin elasticity, so that you can have firmer and plumper skin, and it's also supposed to reduce inflammation, redness and irritation, resulting in a more even skin tone. To achieve all these skincare goals, this silky smooth cream contains their patented synthesised collagen essence, as well as some hexapeptides that pack a punch. It also has shea butter to help deeply moisturise the skin, while nourishing it, as well as buriti oil, which is rich in nutrients and great for hydrating and revitalising the skin. Last but not least, there's also jojoba seed oil, which is there to moisturise and balance the skin.
This cream comes in a frosted jar with a silver screw lid, and I love that this, while thick, actually thins out beautifully, and gets absorbed really nicely into the skin. I find this to be quite hydrating without being heavy on the skin, and I love that this doesn't seem to interact poorly with anything else that I've been using - particularly great, considering that I've been using this twice daily, which means that it's been sitting beneath my makeup, and that's always risky, because you never know what products are going to react when you place them together!
It leaves my skin feeling smooth and really comfortable, and I love that this doesn't result in a film of greasiness on my face, considering how thick this looks. This hits just the right way on me, and given that I'm about 50% down, it's safe to say that I'll be finishing this jar very shortly! It retails for about $130 for 50 ml of product, and it's available at Myer currently, as well as on their website. Do you prefer a lighter or heavier texture when it comes to your face cream?
