Review: Alpha-H Daily Dose Multivitamin Body Serum

Even with the fluctuations in the weather, you can totally tell that Summer is lurking, and waiting to pounce! More heat and sun will always mean miles and miles of skin, as far as the eye can see, and translates to making sure that my skin is silky smooth and ready for a bit of aeration and sun (but also not too much sun, because #sunsafe). I have to be honest, I didn't think that I really needed much more for my skin after the most recent Alpha-H skincare drop, but having tried the Daily Dose Multivitamin Body Serum, their new NEW, I'll have to walk back that statement!

What exactly is the Daily Dose Multivitamin Body Serum? This is said to help tone and brighten skin in just 2 weeks. Said to be formulated so that it doesn't interfere with your intended scent, this is also made to be a daily treatment for dry skin, battling dehydration and dark spots, as well as redness. Additionally, this is designed to be lightweight and have a non greasy texture that should allow you to go from zero to dressed in a minute.

Let's talk about the hero ingredients! It contains 5% Niacinamide, also known as B3, and it helps to improve the skin's barrier function, reinforcing it while increasing the production of ceramides in the skin. Niacinamide is also great for helping to build moisture and prevent water loss. It also serves as an antioxidant, to help fight free radicals, as well as stimulating microcirculation, reducing the appearance of fine lines. Niacinamide has anti-inflammatory properties that may help control sebum production as well.

Vitamin E is steeped in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties, so it's a good vitamin to help protect the skin from free radical damage, and support the skin's barrier, slowing the ageing process. Vitamin C can help reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation and improve the skin tone, while slowing excess melanin production. It also helps in supporting collagen production, while protecting against free radical damage. Hyaluronic acid aids in retaining moisture, so that the skin can be kept hydrated and supple, while polyglutamic acid acts as a humectant to keep the skin moist, minimising the appearance of fine line, while boosting the action of the hyaluronic acid.

I like that packaing is made from at least 30% Post-Consumer Recycled material, and it's also recyclable! This fragrance free serum lives up to it's name - lightweight and easy to absorb, this has been my favourite body product to reach for on hot and sunny days. It dries down beautifully, and it does seem to help even out the skin tone on my legs, which has had some pigmentation, thanks to bug bites. My only complaint? The tube is too small! This is currently available at their website, Mecca, Sephora, Myer, Adore Beauty and other retailers. Does this sound like something you'd love to try?
