Review: Mesoestetic Age Element Firming Eye Contour

Now that I've been away for a little bit, my work life seems removed from how I'm currently living, and it's just been so very blissful! That said, though, there are things about the nomadic lifestyle that I don't love - dry cabin air blasting away on my under-moisturised skin, high density areas when being around other people, where we're breathing on one another, and interesting (read: poor) sleep patterns. All that translates to skin that will sometimes freak out, and dark eye circles that will gather, making me look like I haven't been resting very well.

For example, one of my recent flights was pushed back by about 7 hours, due to an issue with the plane, so for safety reasons, very legitimately, we couldn't leave for our next destination until they had time to source a new plane, a different crew and set everything up. This meant that I couldn't fly out at the previously stated 7.30 PM time slot, and instead, took off around 2 AM the following day. Talk about interesting sleep patterns indeed, particularly when I wasn't aware of this when I woke up early that day to take advantage of our final few hours there!

I've long contested that the one thing that can help you achieve that bright eyed and bushy tailed look is a good eye cream, and failing that, a concealer, because let's face it, if you can't treat it, then you can at least build a good facade to cover up over it! Thankfully, in this case, that's not an issue that I have to worry too much about, because the Mesoestetic Age Element Firming Eye Contour has been doing the trick for helping me look better rested!

And you'd certainly hope so, given that this retails for about $103 for 15 ml of product! This comes in a slender tube, with a wide, flat slanted ceramic applicator, making it so that you can massage it into the skin lightly with this, giving a cooling effect while doing so. It's said to give an immediate tightening effect, which I haven't found, but it does seem to help with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and I feel like my dark eye circles aren't quite are pronounced as they once were.

This comes out as a white cream, and it's a gel cream formula, which makes it quite light. There silk tree extract, which is what I can credit with helping my dark eye circles, while tensor biopolymers are present to help create a lifted, soft focus effect to improve the appearance of fine lines. Additionally, tensor peptides and phytoactives are meant to help with skin elasticity and the look of wrinkles. This eye cream has been a lovely find, and I've really enjoyed using this! So much so that you can expect to see it in the empties pile sooner rather than later! You can grab one over here. Are you more concerned about fine lines or dark circles?
