Review: GHD Chronos

You know you're starting the year strong when you've got some spectacular products to talk about in the first month of the year. Hopefully this means that it will herald more good things to come, going from strength to strength! Today, I'm super excited to be talking about a brand that everyone would be familiar with, and that is GHD! I feel like this particular brand paved the way for lots of other brands to break through onto the scene and they arguably remain one of the most famous and best brands for creating waterfall curls and for straightening hair.

I recently received the GHD Chronos, and let me tell you, this hair tool feels like a bit of a game changer to me. As someone who very frequently uses hot hair tools, I can say that this has been really easy to use, and I like how my curls turn out when I use it. This GHD is suitable for all hair types, and it's said to be their most advanced styler. This boasts the ability to be a three times faster high definition motion-responsive styler, with one stroke high-definition results that last for 24 hours. This is also supposed to be two times more responsive for ultra-fast personalised styling, adapting to your styling movements.

This comes with a heat sheath, so that you can safely put it away after use. I love that this emits a little sound when you turn it on and off, and it does so again when it reaches the temperature that you want it to, which only seems to take a few seconds, which means that you don't have to stand around for ages, waiting for it to be ready. The design seems to make it a little springier than previous versions of the straightener, so this actually makes it easier to use, in terms of clamping and releasing.

I love how easy this is use, and that it does seem to glide through my hair without catching. I also like that this twists easily without needing to turn it too much, helping make my curls look a bit more symmetrical. This also doesn't feel too heavy, while still being a relatively sturdy appliance. While there are claims that this won't damage your hair, I feel like using a hot hair tool will likely do so regardless, but I have noticed that this doesn't leave my hair feeling quite as crispy and rough once I'm done styling my hair.

This is also something I've noticed when I've washed my hair after it's been styled - there isn't as much clumping, particularly at the name of my neck. Additionally, I feel like this also leaves my hair less frizzy when it's been styled. This really does live up to it's name - Good Hair Day! I will say that this isn't cheap, and has a price tag of around $465, but given how I feel about it at this point, I'd say it's worth every cent! This is now available where GHD is stocked, including Mecca, Adore Beauty and Sephora. Is this a tool you'd use?
