Galentine's Day for the Separated

I get it. It's Galentine's Day, and you're far, far away from some of your favourite people, whether they are in the same country as you, just in a different state, or on a different continent at a time when we're unable to fly anywhere to see our furthest and dearest. I mean, at this point, if they're not in your state, or even within a certain number of kilometers or miles, then they might as well be on the moon. At least, at this point, we can still send parcels to one another, and as far as I know, you can't quite send packages to the moon just yet.

Get your favourite babes to dust off their... skin. I know I didn't make that sound amazing, but it's going to feel amazing after you introduce them to the Smooth Body Exfoliating Kit by Medik8, which can also, incidentally, help them lay the groundwork for the next present! Read all about it over here, and make sure that you grab one for yourself as well, so you can squeal about how smooth your skin feels over FaceTime with your bestie.

Given that there's a good chance your loved one hasn't seen the sun for a few days/weeks/months, depending on their level of self isolation, why don't you give them the gift of a little sunshine in a bottle? And by that, of course, I mean a little bit of a fake bake to marinate in, so that they can emerge from the safety of their cocoon with a fresh layer of St Tropez on their now sun-kissed looking skin. Their St Tropez Self Tan Purity Vitamins Waters adds the goodness of skincare with Vitamins C and D with their self tanner, so that you can just keep on glowing! This is available for all over your body, and also your face, so you're covered, so as to speak!

Speaking of marinating, a relaxing bath can always help center my thoughts, and it can be very grounding to have a soak every now and then. Add a bit of Arbonne's Rescue & Renew Detox Bath Soak and just lean back and close your eyes as you take a few deep breaths. Don't have a bath tub, or the time to steep? Treat yourself, or them, to a cleansing experience like none other, with the L'Occitane Amande Shower Oil - this doesn't just smell heavenly, it also leaves you with soft and smooth skin that's a delight to touch. And I also do a lot of my best thinking in the shower, so you're also giving them the gift of reflection, and I'm not just talking about seeing themself in the chrome of the shower head.

Add a little sparkle to their life from afar, because, let's face it, you're usually the bright spark in their universe, aren't ya? And as you can't ship yourself overseas right now, send them a Pump Haircare Rose Quartz Hair + Body Oil. This has a subtle and beautiful shimmer, and can be used to add a bit of nourishment and shine to the body and hair. If it's just the body you'd like to focus on, Arbonne's Rescue & Renew Detox Oil will have you glowing all over the body.

Lastly, remind them that you're still only a plane ride away, once the dust settles a little more on what's going on in the world right now. The Long Haul Spa Inflight Skincare Kit, created by long haul flyers for long haul flyers, is crammed with 8 travel essentials, which also translates to a mini spa kit, which can be done at home right now and is significantly safer than trudging outside. Remind them to take care of themselves, in a time that is strange, and unfamiliar, and at times, very frustrating.

The act of self care, from removing the day with micellar water, to spritzing on a bit of face mist, and covering your face with a face mask (and not the type that we're all familiar with right now) feel like really small, and quite possibly, frivolous, steps, but we take it for granted that these moments all give us a chance to take a beat, to pause and organise our thoughts. And of course, the fact that these all come in a cute little pouch also means that when the products run dry, they'll still have a little reminder of you that can make them smile every time they see it in their bag, or on their bathroom shelf.

And finally, remember to write them a note, and sign it off with,"Far apart, but in my heart", because it's the truth! I'm sure they know this, but it never hurts to remind them that it's how you feel, all the time. Have a beautiful Galentine's Day, my beautiful babes, and remember to lift up your fellow women, and celebrate them in all of their glory!
