Galentine's Day for Introverts
Firstly, set the mood. I know that you're not out to seduce your best babes (and if you are, no judgement), and if you're having people over, then you'd want your place to look, and smell, inviting. Glasshouse Fragrances always brings the goods, and boy, are they good! Candles are my absolute, number one go to, but for those who are concerned about having an open flame, or would rather have a reed diffuser, well, Glasshouse has you sorted for that too! Pick from a variety of different scents, from the sweet and tasty, to the floral and romantic. And for your get together, how about a little Rendezvous? Aptly named, and a heady mix of amber and orchid, this scented gorgeousness will light up any room!
If you prefer something that can provide some ambiance while being safe, then a diffuser with some quality essential oils may be more to your liking. Oil Garden currently has two limited edition gift sets, and each kit comes with a diffuser, as well as a bottle of essential oil. I personally love the look of the From the Heart gift set, which is pictured, because it has a white diffuser and it's different to what I'm used to, but the Wild Wanderer gift set is stunning too.
Perhaps you're spending time indoors, because you also need to detox from some serious drinking that you've been doing, and there's no time like the present to try and remedy that, and it helps that there's solidarity in a girl gang, with everyone jumping into being healthy with both feet. Get your glow on with one of my favourite edible beauty brands, The Beauty Chef, such as with their Glow Inner Beauty Essential Supercharged Formula, or you can toast to good health, and good friends, with their liquid Collagen Inner Beauty Boost. Can we also take a moment to appreciate the Melrose Essential Red, their red superfood blend, which you can place into a smoothie or even food, so that you can feel pious and proud of yourself - before you tuck into all of your snacks, because what is a girlie hang out without some edibles?
Speaking of things that would be sorely missed in a get together, let's talk what we talk about best - skincare! Ok, so if you've never sat around in your underwear or pyjamas, wearing a face pack while talking about boys, and gesturing with enough force that you're almost knocking over 3 glasses of wine at once, then you haven't truly lived. Thankfully, there's no time like the present to get started! If you're overwhelmed with options, then let me help you!
The tried and tested Arbonne RE9 Advanced Prepwork Gel Eye Masks is an old favourite of mine, and this is great on it's own, or as an adjunct to your other masks. Nu Skin has an amazing alternative, the AgeLoc Galvanic Spa Eye Mask, which covers the skin all the way around the eyes, so you look a little like Zorro, if he were into looking after his skin.
Otherwise, if you're looking to shed the old, and reveal the new, Skin Virtue's Pure Exfoliating Mask, which is an anti-aging skin polishing peel, is a good option. If you're not after exfoliation, but you'd like a head start on the glow, get it rolling with the Skinn Luminous Skin Mask with Manuka Honey + C.
Of course, feeding your skin is an important step afterwards, and I am a big fan of the glow. Grab a pack of Mesoestetic Energy C, so you're not sharing a bottle, and they get to take one home to keep the glow going. Follow it up with a face oil, such as Skinn's Divine Elixir Luminous Skin Oil Manuka Honey + C will keep your skin bright. Alternatively, you can reach for Ipsum's Best Skin Face Oil Intense, which contains Australian Lily Pilly and Australian Fragonia to deeply moisturise your skin, while protecting it from free radicals.
