Review: Raww Day Warrior Light Facial Oil
Advances in technology means that we are constantly scrambling to keep up with all the changes of the modern world, trying to get ourselves on even footing when it comes to preventing everyday objects from damaging our skin. From stresses inflicted by, well, life, to contamination from the environment, there is seriously a lot of consider these days.
The latest thing to consider is the amount of time that we spend in front of our screens. Going from the early days of worrying about our eyesight with having the screens up close to our eyes, and the accompanying fine lines from all the squinting, we now have the added bonus of having to be concerned about what the blue light might be doing to our skin.
Enter the Raww Day Warrior Light Facial Oil! This oil, containing tomato extract, is meant to assist in blocking the blue light from your everyday life. This can be worn either under, or on top, of your moisturiser daily.
The lycopene in tomato, in conjunction with rice bran, is meant to absorb the blue light before it can penetrate the skin, thus preventing damage from occurring. Other ingredients include pomegranate seed oil, for nourishing and brightening the skin, rosemary leaf extract to help with blemishes, and passionfruit seed oil for it's antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
I love that it's quite a lightweight oil, which makes it appropriate to wear under my makeup during the day. It doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy, which I appreciate, and has a light, almost citrusy scent to it. I can't really speak to it's blue light prevention capabilities, but I love this as a concept, and that this acts as an invisible shield. For those who are interested in trying it out for themselves, this retails for $34.99, and you can buy it online over here.
