5 Beauty Essentials I Pack In My Handbag
Making sure that your bag is ready to go in the morning shaves off minutes that you might need to put to better use elsewhere, and that's why my bag is always zipped and waiting for me to grab on my way out of the door.
I don't know about you, but as someone who has to do a lot on the go, I always make sure that my bag is filled with the essentials so that I don't have to make too much of a mad dash for the plane/train/automobile. I've teamed up with Quay Australia to talk about what I'm keeping in my ag and why!
Here are the things that I don't leave home without:
- Sunglasses: Sunnies are an absolute must, particularly here in super bright Australia, where even the glare can hurt your eyes on overcast days. Bright sunshine leads to squinting, and squinting leads to fine lines and wrinkles - definitely a beauty thing! Aside from that, it's super important to remember that bright light will also hurt and damage your retinas, so it's important to make sure that you take care of your eyes! Quay Australia has some of my favourite sunglasses and I love that they are affordable, trendy, and that there are often different sale codes on, so that you can get more bang for your buck. Depending on whether you're looking for womens' sunnies, or mirrored ones for the beach vibe ahead of the warm weather, Quay has you(r eyes) covered. I should know - I have about 30 different pairs!

- Brow: Brows have seriously taken over the beauty world, and it's not hard to see why - they really do frame the face! That said, most of us have therefore suffered the tail end of our little brows rubbing off throughout the day, and I always carry one of these around with me so that I can touch up when it's needed. Who knew brows would be this important?

- Lip: This one needs no explanation - but I'm going to talk you through it anyway! I always have several lip colours on hand, because I might need to go from day to night, or reapply after eating. As such, I keep a selection of shades in long stay formulas on me at all times.

- Perfume: I'm really conscious of how I smell (which is good for everyone else around me!), and I always have at least one fragrance in my bag so that I can freshen up throughout the day. I try to keep at least 2 scents on hand if possible, so that I have some options for going from day to night.

- Eyeliner: There is so much scope for this. Depending on which pencil you choose to take with you, it could double as a brow pencil, darken your waterline, be smudged to create a smoky look, or even be worn as a lipliner. Tons of scope for it!

I agree sunglasses are an essential! I'm trying to get better at having something for my lips in my bag - usually my Lucas paw paw but sometimes I forget it and leave it behind. Having a lip colour is a good idea! :)
