Review: Intraceuticals Bakuchiol Booster

Welcome to the middle of Winter - we've already passed the Winter Solstice, which means that we are currently experiencing shorter nights once again, as we march steadily towards Spring. I have to remind myself of this, as it is still so cold and dry, and my skin isn't loving it! At this point, it's all about there being hope around the corner, because as much as Winter brings about cosy knits, roaring fireplaces and the promise of smores, I would rather be able to wear a summery dress and have my shoulders being warmed by the sun. At least my skin is being well pampered at the moment, thanks to my Intraceuticals Bakuchiol Booster!

You may all already be familiar with bakuchiol, but in case you aren't, bakuchiol is a plant-based retinol, alternative derived from the seeds of the Psoralea Corylifolia plant, that serves the same purpose, namely that it has anti-aging properties. Bakuchiol can help collagen production and assist cell turnover, all while being gentle on the skin. This is also meant to not increase sensitivity to sunlight. Additionally, it's supposed to improve firmness and elasticity, while also helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as protecting the skin against free radicals.

Bakuchiol is also meant to soothe redness and blemishes, while also easing inflammation. The end result is that you should have a more radiant complexion that has even skin tone and texture. Hyaluronic acid is the second hero ingredient, which is popular for a lot of reasons. It penetrates deeply into the skin, helping to moisturise efficiently, plumping fine lines to help improve their appearance. Coupled with bakuchiol, this serum delivers a powerful duo to love your skin. It's suitable for most skin types, aside from those with rosacea.

This vegan and cruelty free serum comes in a white bottle with pink accents, including the writing and pump, and it has a clear cap on the top that's easy to pull off. A couple of pumps is what I use nightly, and while this comes out as a slightly cloudy serum, not a trace is left behind once it gets absorbed, which is a fast process. This doesn't have an obvious scent, and I love that my skin takes it in very quickly. Since I started using this, I have felt like this has been very good for keeping my skin hydrated and luminous.

I love how easy it has been to integrate this into my routine, and that it hasn't resulted in my skin reacting to it, and layering has been a breeze. Overall, this has been easy to love - it works on my skin, and it's as gentle as it promises to be. For $72, this isn't cheap, but you can occasionally pick it up on sale.
