Review: Fenty Skin Melt AWF Jelly Oil Makeup Melting Cleanser

It's Monday, and you know what that means! Well, I know what that means - it means I only have four more sleeps until I am due to get on my next plane! I don't really consider myself an aviation nut, but I honestly just love flying so much. It gives me an immeasurable amount of joy to walk down the tunnel and get myself buckled into my seat, ready to take off to my next adventure. As someone who is only 160cm tall (or short, depending on how you look at it), legroom isn't really an issue, and knowing that there's a plane trip around the corner is essentially being aware that there's the promise of something bigger waiting for me, you know? And of course, at the end of my gallivanting around the world or Australia, when my feet are firmly planted back on Sydney ground, there's always something else to look forward to, and that's taking off my makeup with my cleanser, so that I can have squeaky clean skin to pamper, after subjecting it to the dry air in the cabin.

I recently treated myself to some Fenty Skin after seeing their Melt AWF Jelly Oil Makeup Melting Cleanser at a Sephora event, and while the name is a bit of a mouthful, don't let that put you off, because this cleanser is absolutely delicious on the skin, and I can't recommend it enough! Before I give it all away, though, let's talk about how this works, and why you should give it a go yourself! Firstly, this comes in a tube that has a flip lid at the bottom, and a soft smushy bit at the top that you have to push to get the product out.

This may be the only bit of the product that I'm not super keen on, and that's because I can't seem to control exactly how much I can get out at a time. This does mean that I end up wasting a bit of the cleanser, but otherwise, it's hard to fault the actual product itself, it's really just a packaging snafu. What comes out of the tube is thick coil of cleanser that is easy to work into the skin for about 30 sconds before adding a bit of water.

By doing so, it changes the consistency of the cleanser, emulsifying it, so that it becomes milkier and it lifts off the makeup and grime that's on the skin. I find this to be quite effective at removing a whole range of makeup products, including mascara, which is really saying something! This is made up of a blend of nine different oils to help break things down, and I like that my skin feels all soft and nourished, even after removing all of the lotions, pollutant, makeup and dirt from the day. This never seems to dry out my skin, which is totally brilliant!

I will admit to being a big fan of double cleansing, however, and I always follow this up with a different cleanser to really ensure that I have taken it all off - that cleanser doesn't have to work quite as hard, though! This rich vegan cleanser is available now at Sephora for $49 for 100 ml of product, and I'm so glad I pressed 'Add to cart' when I did! You can grab a bottle, or three, over here on the Sephora website. What was the last Fenty product you tried?
