Brand Focus AND Competition: Native Australian

Up and coming brands and products are part of the reason I love being a beauty blogger - this industry is always evolving and there's an endless stream of exciting things on the horizon. What's not to love? Towards the end of last year, I was told about a brand that I wasn't familiar with, and I've been dying to talk about it! New year, new brand, right?

That brand is Native Australian, under the company G and M Cosmetics. G and M Cosmetics actually isn't the new kid on the block - in fact, they've been manufacturing and selling products globally for over 20 years, having started up back in 1996. They are a family owned and 100% Australian made company that uses an in-house PhD chemist to develop and test their formulations. I was surprised to learn all this, because they've been flying under the radar for me, but no longer!

They currently have a total of 11 items in the range, including:

1) Oils (60ml bottle)
  • Emu
  • Macadamia
  • Rosehip
  • Lavender

2) Creams (150g pots)
  • Lanolin Day Complex
  • Lanolin Night Complex
  • Goats Milk with Manuka Honey
  • Kakadu Plum Complex

3) Lanolin-based Lotions (60ml bottle)
  • Brightening
  • Restoring
  • Skin Shield
Native Australian's entire range is paraben free, mineral oil free and doesn't include any artificial fragrance or colour. What it does have, however, is a range of indigenous ingredients, including Kakadu Plum, Quandong and Native Finger Limes. These were so chosen for their unique properties, with Kakadu Plum containing about 100 times more vitamin C than citrus fruit, making it appropriate for brightening the skin. Quandong serves as a rich source of anti-oxidants, while Native Finger Limes are high in oils and vitamin C and E. On top of everything else, they are also cruelty free. Prices range from $29.95 to $49.95 - nothing that would break the bank, and you can find out more about the brand over here.

My top picks for each collection are pictured, but I have to say, my absolute favourite, which has been living on the bedside table, is the Lavender Oil. It has a beautiful texture and the soothing scent has been helping me sleep at night - I'm going to be sad when it runs out!

Now for the COMPETITION - make sure you check it out on my Instagram page, which you can access over here. There will be three winners, walking away with $150 worth of products each! Good luck!

What would you try from the range? Is buying Australian products of importance to you?
