So, a few years ago, when I first started my blog, I had the chance to try some Jojoba Company products, and I really liked them. Fast forward a few years later, and I was offered some different products to trial, and I have to say - why did I take such a long break between then and now?
I thought I'd crack open the 100% Natural Ultimate Jojoba Youth Potion, as someone mentioned it at an event recently, and only had nice things to say. What can I say? I'm a sucker for word of mouth! And boy, was I glad I listened when I opened it, because I feel the same way myself!
What exactly is the Youth Potion? This is basically like a multivitamin! It is rich in vitamins A,B, C, D, E and F and contains several oils, aside from Jojoba Oil, including Camellia Seed Oil and Argan Oil.
This comes in a frosted glass bottle with a gold pump, which is quite firm - something I really appreciate about it. The oil itself is yellow, and the scent of it is beyond incredible! I can't quite describe it (floral, I think?), except to say that it is really beautifully scented, and that they should think about making a perfume that smelled the same way, because I'd buy it!
This gets absorbed into the skin easily, and leaves my skin feeling really nourished and moisturised. I love that it's not too light, precluding it's use in the Winter, but also not particularly heavy, which means that I can continue using this through the warmer months. I'm also not one for using oils in the daytime, as this can make my makeup slide around more, but I have actually used this oil on my skin a couple of times prior to going out at night, and I had no issues with makeup shifting or the application of it.
I intend on squeezing every last drop I can out of the bottle, and this will definitely make it on the to buy list! A 50 ml bottle retails for $39.95, and there are several stockists, including Priceline, and online here.
Have you tried anything by the Jojoba Company before? What's your favourite product by them?
