Review: No Pong All Natural Anti Odourant

Deodorant - most of us need it, but we don't often talk about it. Why is it that we get embarrassed about discussing personal hygiene, when we can talk for hours about makeup and skincare, when this is just as important? More so, in fact, particularly in the Summer!

I've been trying out a new deodorant, and the results have been surprising. No Pong is an all natural anti odourant, which is cruelty free, but not vegan, given that it has beeswax. Keep in mind that this isn't an antiperspirant, because, trust me, you will still sweat through this.

What is interesting about this, thought, is that No Pong controls odours while allowing the body to sweat. This has a lemon/vanilla mix scent, and it's meant to be a little different on everyone who tries it. I kept catching whiffs of lemongrass all day, which I quite liked, given that it was kinda fresh, and it certainly didn't smell like body odour.

This comes as a paste in an easy to open tin, and I'm not particularly keen on the application, which is with fingers, as it does feel like there's some product left on the hands afterwards, and not so great when I'm in a rush in the morning. I have been told that this is quite a common manner of application for cruelty free deodorants, though, so for those used to it, I would imagine this to be rather normal!

That this looks like a solid product, however, which means that this can be taken travelling without worrying about having to take it out of your bag or going over your aerosol/liquid limit - fantastic for those who find themselves on the road often.

It claims to last for up to 12 hours, and I can assure you that on a 12 hour work day, this has coasted me through the day. I was able to pass another tin onto a vegan who regularly uses cruelty free deodorants, and it lasted her through an intensive silks class, and she said she didn't catch a whiff of 'self', so it worked well on her! She did say that the scent was a little too lemongrassy for her, however, so this is one that you need to try to see if it'd work for you. What she did like, however, was that this did not sting when she had rope burns (from silks), and it didn't burn when she applied it - definitely a bonus!

This product can be purchased as a one off for $5.95, or you could get it through as a monthly subscription service, so that you never run out of deodorant (which, let's be honest, is something that people should never run out of). It doesn't contain any aluminium or parabens, so if you're worried about that, don't be!

You can find out more about this little gem over here. Honestly, for a hardcore anti-perspirant chickie who was concerned about the transition, this was so much better than I could have hoped for! A great cruelty free alternative for those seeking something a little less commercial!
