Review: Faby Nail Lacquers + Swatches! *

Faby is a brand that I've recently become acquainted with, given that they were at the Australian Bridal Fashion Weekend, which I was lucky enough to attend. I had my nails done at their Faby stand there that day, and it was instant love!

I was sent a few bottles of polishes to test out, and I'm happy to skip right to the end and tell you - it's definitely a happily ever after for me in this love affair!

But first, let's have a look at this stunning collection of colours I was sent.

How beautiful are these gorgeous polishes? Faby is an Italian brand that boasts 15 ml of product per bottle of polish. The caps/handles are a rounded square, which I find to be ergonomically helpful when holding them to apply polish.

The brushes are medium sized, which helps in spreading the polishes thinly enough that they can dry by the time you reach the last finger, so you can repeat the procedure again without things clumping badly on you. I have done swatches (two layers each) of the polishes to show you how gorgeous they are outside the bottles.

100% Cashmere; Peau D'Ange; You're on Pandora

The first two shades from the left are from the Nature collection. The ingredients are apparently 87% of natural origin, and aren't derived from petroleum. This concept is totally new to me, which seems really cool. It's a shame are there are only six shades in this range!

You're on Pandora is from the Future collection, and it is a cool golden shade.

100% Cashmere; Peau D'Ange; You're on Pandora

The polishes from the Nature collection can be found here, and You're on Pandora can be found here. The swatches are surprisingly darker than what the bottle would show them to be, particularly the one of 100% Cashmere.

Faby is my Boss; For Greta, Purple or Brown?; Cleo's Talisman

Faby is my Boss is a great brick red, for the days when you're after a no-nonsense straightforward colour. The latter two are duo chrome shades, with the former being a rusty blood red, and the latter being a green/red.

You can find Faby is my Boss here. For Greta, Purple or Brown? and Cleo's Talisman are both part of the Eclectic collection, and can be found here. I actually really, really, really want to try Esmeralida in the Mirror now! I feel an order coming on...

Faby is my Boss; For Greta, Purple or Brown?; Cleo's Talisman

Of all these, my pick would be Cleo's Talisman, based on how unique it looks.

Don't Disturb my Puppy; Parking Violation; Save the Drive-In

Both Don't Disturb my Puppy and Save the Drive-In are from the Fabulous collection, and you can find the whole range here. Don't Disturb my Puppy is actually a beautiful, and surprisingly opaque, baby blue, while Save the Drive-In is like the night sky.

Parking Violation is part of the Karim Collection and it is a bright blue that you can find in the sky on a warm Summer day. It can be found here

Don't Disturb my Puppy; Parking Violation; Save the Drive-In

Save the Drive-In is my favourite shade of the trio, but Don't Disturb my Puppy is definitely one that I'm looking to get on my nails as soon as possible!

Meteor Shower; In the Background; Nuit des Mysteres

Meteor Shower is more of a glitter coat than a stand alone colour, while I regard In the Background to be a freshwater mermaid shade, and Nuit de Mysteres as a deep sea mermaid colour, if that makes sense!

Both Meteor Shower and Nuit des Mysteres are from the Future collection, which you can find here, while In the Background comes from the Renaissance range. In the Background can be found here

Meteor Shower; In the Background; Nuit des Mysteres

Meteor Shower is definitely very glittery, while In the Background is a gorgeous teal shade. Nuit de Mysteres has a dark blue base with golden shimmers all through it.

Of all the colours, I decided to go with Nuit de Mysteres as my pick of the lot, and I absolutely adored having it on my nails!

It's hard to appreciate in this picture, but it's a gorgeous blue/gold, which is even more stunning in real life.

The application was smooth, easy and lasted for 2.5 days on me before I had to take it off, not due to chipping or anything like that. I liked that the layers dried relatively quickly, and it didn't result in smudging when I was confident enough to touch my nails.

All the polishes pictured above can be purchased for $19.90 each. Aside from polishes, they also have top and base coats, as well as other nail products and tools.

What I really like about Faby is their range of colours and different collections that are within the brand. One of the best things about Faby is that they are a cruelty free AND 5 free brand. Faby is definitely Faby-ulous!

What is your favourite colour of all those pictured? Have you tried anything by Faby yet?

* These products were sent to me for my consideration, but my opinions, as always, are my own
