Review: Boe Professional Colour Last Lipstick *

I'm sure most of you have now heard of Boe Beauty, which is a makeup brand that is exclusive to Big W, but did you know about their Boe Professional range?

While Boe Beauty has a price point of $2 per product (a ridiculous bargain, if you ask me!), Boe Professional has a wider range of prices, which would make sense, given that they have a bigger variety of products. From what I now know, too, their products are of better quality, without upsetting the wallet too much.

So much so that in fact, I felt like the lipsticks needed their own post, which is why we're discussing them today.

Mocha; Scarlette

These babies come in a plastic casing that has an opaque black cap, and a clear bottom, which makes it obvious what colour you're getting. I was given two of the six shades in the Colour Last range - Mocha and Scarlette - and they are fantastic!

These glide on smoothly, which makes sense, considering that they contain jojoba oil, vitamin E and sweet almond oil. These babies are very pigmented, and they go the distance! They don't have much of a scent to me, which is good for those who are sensitive. They also stain the lips, so that you not only have the benefit of having really moisturised lips, your lips will still look gorgeous, even after eating. Colour last is right - it's actually not easy to get off!

Mocha; Scarlette

Pretty! Mocha is a darker version of 'my lips but better', while Scarlette is a lovely red that is bright and easy to wear.

How beautiful are these shades? And they only retail for $8.95 each!

The Boe Professional range is also cruelty free - woo hoo! - and only available at Big W, which is the one major drawback with this brand, because there aren't that many Big Ws near me! Or perhaps that's a good thing...

Have you tried any of the Boe Professional lippies before? What's your favourite lippie range?

Part 2 to follow soon!

  3. I haven't tried BOE products as I rarely go to the shopping centre that has a Big W in it.

  4. Crazy good value.
Enjoy posts like these because sometimes, weird as it sounds, one assumes something won't be good because of the low price point.
Then one misses out on saving money and an awesome product, doubly sad.

  6. I actually didn't notice they had a new range! The packaging looks a lot nicer than the $2 range. Mocha is a gorgeous shade, will have to keep an eye out for it :)
