High Tea at The Westin, Melbourne

Hello lovelies! One little thing that I left out of my recent Melbourne adventures was a brilliant meal that I indulged in - can anyone guess what that would be?

You very likely got it right! I headed out to The Westin in the middle of Melbourne to partake in one of my favourite activities - high tea!

From where we were seated, we could see the Hub and all the shows happening that day during Fashion Week. Melbourne, you're always surprising me, you gorgeous city!

Here's everything on the Winter high tea menu! I got really excited when I saw what they had for the sweets - I also really liked that it didn't have tons of chocolatey things on the menu. Too many chocolatey things can make it crazy rich right at the end.

A lovely place setting for three people, and the usual glasses of champers were trotted out for our celebration - because we were celebrating Mrs AM's 30th birthday!

Miss AG, our friend who lives in Melbourne, and turned up for high tea with us, got the vegetarian stand. I don't know if they do a vegan high tea there, but it was nice to see them doing a vegetarian one.

Above is the stand that Mrs AM and I shared - delish from start to end! The profiteroles were my favourite part of it - soft, light and gorgeous!

The chocolate and praline bar was to die for and the Earl Grey tea shortbread was interesting - not quite my thing, but tasty, nevertheless. The savouries were a fancier version of the usual finger sandwiches.

And that's what the vegetarian stand had on it! It differed slightly, but most of the sweets were the same.

Three happy girls, after a very satisfying high tea!

Aside from the modern stand, we also got rather modern cups and tea pots. As usual, I got my chamomile with a side of honey, and it turned up in an absolutely adorable jar!

The service was good, although not as attentive as I've had in the past, but we didn't have to look around for long before we caught their eye. The food was excellent, with an even mix between sweet and savoury.

Overall, I would rate this high tea:

8.5/10

Have you tried their high tea before? Would you be interested in going there?

Edited to add: For any further information regarding high tea at the Westin, you can head over to their website, which is here.
