Review: Anua Peach 77% Niacin Enriched Cream

It's just January, and I feel like the K beauty on the blog is already going strong! Truly, K beauty has made such an impact on our overall view on skincare and beauty, it's now considered mainstream, and I can't quite imagine a world where we don't just get access to Korean beauty products in pharmacies that can be found just about everywhere, such as Priceline. The internet has made it such that beauty products from all over the world can be found easily, and while you'll never find GWPs that are quite as good as the ones you'd get in Asian countries when you purchase Korean beauty products, when you get goodies from places like Adore Beauty, where I purchased this from, you can occasionally find an excellent deal.

I was trawling the Adore Beauty website recently when I came across the Anua Peach 77% Niacin Enriched Cream, and I was drawn to the line 'light gel moisturiser for all skin types'. It was the start of Summer, and I wanted something that wouldn't feel like much on my skin, that would be comfortable to wear, and help keep my skin moisturised. This sounded like it would tick all the boxes, and spoiler - it totally has! This is touted as a hydrating and nourishing moisturiser that's meant to help revitalise the skin.

The formula includes 77% Prunus Persica, also known as peach fruit extract, and it also has gentle fermented ingredients, as well as protein and curiously, dietary fiber, to help rejuvenate the skin. It's meant to hydrate the skin, have a light gel texture and not be sticky once it's been applied, getting absorbed in a matter of seconds. It's also supposed to help boost the elasticity of the skin and enhance it's firmness, so that you can be left with skin that's soft, and restored.

This is suitable for all skin types, and I can see why. It's not at all heavy, and does actually have a light gel texture, which makes application and dry down take just a few seconds - perfect for the time poor babes who live life on the fly, or for lazy girls, where there are days when I just want to smear my skincare on really quickly, but not compromise on what that means for the quality of my skin. It doesn't have a scent to it, which feels like a missed opportunity, and overall, it's been really great for keeping my skin moisturised, and supple.

I like the bouncy texture of the moisturiser, and I love that this doesn't interact negatively with any other products that's currently in my skincare routine. It also seems to perform well with makeup products, and while the price is a little steep, sitting at $78 for 50 ml of product, this is a brilliant moisturiser and one that I'm definitely going to finish. Aside from using this as a moisturiser, you're also meant to be able to use this as an overnight face pack, where you could layer a thick amount of this onto the skin before heading to pack. You can find it over here. What's your go to K-beauty moisturiser?
