Review: Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask
When it comes to K-beauty, I feel like Innisfree was one of the first brands I ever explored on my own. There was an instance when I headed back to Singapore to see family, and as always, I went shopping to pick up staples, and also a bunch of fun things while I was back there, and Innisfree happened to catch my eye. As a first time shopper in there, I can still remember the thrill I got when I made my way to the counter to pay, my glossy purchase in my hands, and I was handed a number of samples and gifts that came along with my purchases. Honestly, shopping in Korean beauty stores in Asia just hits different!
That said, though, we have a whole world of beauty products right here in Australia, including Innisfree, which was previously only found at selected stores, but can now be purchased just about everywhere, given that they are stocked at one of the most popular pharmacies - Priceline! We are totally spoilt for choice, from the number of products and items that we have available to us from multiple brands, as well as where we can get them from. and Priceline is one of my favourite places to waste a bit of time in when I'm looking for that next little purchase to serve as a pick me up.
I found something fun while I was browsing through all the pretty things of the shop recently, and that's the Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask! This mask is said to be best for babes with combination to oily skin, and as someone who has normal to dry skin that leans towards being a little oily over the Summer, when it's humid and hot and sweaty, this mask really appealed to me, as it's meant to be a cooling clay mask that exfoliates and absorbed unwanted oil and impurities, leaving the user with smoother, clearer skin.
This mask comes in a jar with a screw lid, and it's pretty packed to the brim. I love that this is wonderfully creamy, making it easy to spread over the skin. It doesn't dry down over the span of 10 to 15 minutes while it's working it's magic, and I love that this feels comfortable on the skin. It doesn't have much of a scent to it, and I love that this leaves my face feeling soft and smooth, particularly around the nose, which is my problem zone for my pores. The mask is infused with Jeju Volcanic Clusters™, AHA and walnut shell powder, and I feel like my skin has been reacting well to it.
Sitting at just $29 for 100ml of product, you can find it at Priceline, as well as various other retailers that stock Innisfree, including Adore Beauty and Sephora, which means that you may be able to find this at a discounted price at one of these places at any point in time. It's my current Summer love, and I'm already halfway through the jar! If you're looking for a blast from the past, you can find my previous Innisfree posts over here and here, both from over 10 years ago! What was the last Innisfree product you used?
