Review: Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte's Magic Cream
With Australia working on expanding their portfolio of brands in online and brick and mortar stores, we have been incredibly fortunate to get our hands on products and previously hard to obtain items that are now very much within reach. One of my favourite luxe makeup brands to hit the market here has to be Charlotte Tilbury! A while back, when I headed to London for the first time, Charlotte Tilbury was on my must buy list, and I remember picking out what I wanted online, that I couldn't get here back then.
Fast forward about a decade, and it is now so easy to get Charlotte Tilbury products, it's outrageous! Recently, there was a makeover at my makeover haunt, when the Mecca near my work expanded into a different space, and as a promotion, there was an opportunity to get a glow up there where the cost of the makeover would go towards a Charlotte Tilbury product of my choosing. Essentially, this meant that I could get a free makeover, with buying an item from the range, and to me, that ultimate bargain queen, that sounded like a good deal, and an excellent excuse to poke around the store.
So, after I went through the very soothing process of having someone else remove my makeup, reapply skincare, then work their magic by putting on a glowy base, before putting on the finishing touches for a pretty, but natural-esque look. The entire look was created using Charlotte Tilbury products, of course, and at the end of it, I picked the Magic Cream, as I'd heard so much about it, and after having it used on my skin, I was hooked! Created backstage to help prep and transform the skin for models, this cruelty free moisturiser is now available to give you that glowy, dewy base.
The formula includes Charlotte's 'magic 8' of supercharged skincare ingredients to help enhance the complexion and rejuvenate tired, dull skin. These ingredients include hyaluronic acid, which can help draw in moisture, keeping the skin hydrated for up to 24 hours, while camellia oil is there to nourish and hydrate the skin for getting you that dewy complexion. It also has rosehip oil to help revitalise and balance the skin, while the addition of bionymph peptide, which is a peptide blend, can condition the skin, giving it a smoother and plumper appearance. Aloe vera and shea butter are included to help calm and soothe and skin, while also nourishing it and keeping it soft and there's frangipani flower extract for moisturising benefits, as well as the bonus of it lending the moisturiser it's fragrance. Vitamins C and E also work in synergy to brighten the skin and improve the skin tone, helping you achieve your glowy goals.
This comes packaged as a white cream in a jar, and it's available in three sizes - 30ml, 50ml and 150ml. Despite looking like a thick cream, this thins out beautifully without leaving the skin feeling greasy. I love that this is lightly scented, and that every time I use it, it makes me feel so grown up and adult! I've been using this as a my morning moisturiser, and I feel like it's been a great addition to the rotation, and helping to keep my skin looking radiant. However, lovely as it is, I don't feel like I would be up for paying $150 again for 50ml of product, as while it's kept my skin feeling and looking smooth and soft, I don't think it's a particularly groundbreaking product. For more information on this, you can find it over on the Mecca website. What are you loving from Charlotte Tilbury?
