Review: Votary Brightening Hyaluronic Serum

Votary, is there anything you can't do? As you know, I'm a big fan of the brand, and you can find previous posts here, here and here, and it seems like I've once again struck gold with their Brightening Hyaluronic Serum, which we're going to talk about today. Side note - if you haven't bought the Tinted Lip Gloss after my recent glowing review, make sure that's the second thing you add to your cart, after the Brightening Hyaluronic Serum.

So, where do we start? This super serum has been formulated with narcissus extract (very apt, given the amount of time you'll be spending, staring at your own reflection after using this) and AHA glycolic acid, as well as, of course, hyaluronic acid. This has been created to unify and illuminate the complexion, so that you can have a more even skin tone and added radiance to perk up dull skin. The AHA helps in removing dead skin cells to reveal a fresh and dewy complexion, while the hyaluronic acid is there to help your skin feel intensely hydrated and plump, reducing the appearance of fine lines.

Of course, they aren't on their own, as there's also bilberry fruit extract, which is helpful for combating free radicals, providing antioxidant protection for the skin, while also strengthening the skin's barrier function and soothing sensitive skin. There is also natural neroli flower water in the formula, which can help to hydrate and refresh the skin. This comes in a gorgeous emerald green glass bottle with a dropper applicator that has quite a decent suction. The serum is light and gorgeous, and quite frankly, feels quite luxurious on the skin.

This has a bit of an almost floral scent to it, and I like that this gets absorbed incredibly quickly. My skin absolutely loves this! It leaves my skin feeling soft and looking dewy, which I'm definitely a fan of - I notice it most on the mornings when I head to the gym, free of makeup and surrounded by mirrors while working out on the reformer carriage. It's the sort of luminous glow that helps me get around without a base product, because with good skin, I don't need much more on top of that.

I apply this to clean skin twice daily, and it's been so very lovely for me. Votary is absolute magic! This isn't cheap, given that it's just under $200, but it's worth every cent.
