Review: Trilogy Hemphip Balancing Oil

In a typical show of when it rains, it pours, I have been trying out two different Trilogy products for the last few weeks, and positively loving both of them, so I thought I'd talk about one of them now, while I'm still busy writing up the other one! They broke my Trilogy drought in a really big way, and I've been equally impressed by both of them - spoiler alert, you might want to grab one of each for yourself too! I was sent the Trilogy Hemphip Balancing Oil recently, and I have only nice things to say about it.

 

A new release from Trilogy, this is touted as a lightweight certified organic oil that's meant for helping to balance combination and oily skin types. Made up of a combination of hemp seed oil, rosehip oil, jojoba oil and grape seed oil, as well as lemon myrtle and salicylic acid, it seeks to nourish the skin, while reducing shine, exfoliate dull and rough skin, all as it fights to keep wrinkles at bay. 

As with all their oils, this comes in an amber bottle with a dropper applicator built into the cap. While initially greasy, this does get absorbed sufficiently well, without being a dry oil. As someone with normal to dry skin, I wasn't expecting this to do much for balancing the skin, but I did expect this to quench it's thirst, and it's done just that! I find this to be adequately hydrating for my skin, without making it feel like an oil slick.
