Review: Medik8 Super C30 Potent Vitamin C Antioxidant Serum

I think that 2018 can be fondly remembered as the year where I achieved some fantastic life goals, kicked ass professionally and as a blogger, as well as the year where I got the chance to discover Medik8, which is, frankly, an amazing brand! You know you've got it bad for the brand when you have 4 different Medik8 products jostling for space on the shelves!

What exactly is the Super C30 serum, and why the heck should you be looking to try it? Well, let's be honest, it's party season, and you may have been a bit more on the go than usual, and as such, things start to slip a little in your routine. This means that you think everything is going to plan, but then you find yourself drowning in merry making and food (not a bad thing, I know), and you run out of time, you begin to feel swamped, you're running around too much and getting stressed out, or you skip bits in your skincare routine, and BAM - it starts to show on your skin.

Combat that with the Super C30, designed to boost luminosity and fight environmental and sun-induced damage. This is meant to boost collagen levels while smoothing and brightening the complexion. It's also supposed to provide antioxidant protection and revitalise the skin. It contains turmeric and botanical oils like grapefruit and geranium, all of which come together to smooth the skin, leaving it supple and glowing.

This comes in a brown dropper bottle containing 30 ml of product, which will set you back by $89. I love that this is easy to get out and I feel like the brown bottle prevents light from breaking the vitamin C down, which means that it doesn't degrade easily over time. The texture of this almost seems a little greasy, semi-viscous, even, but once you get it on your skin, it becomes touch dry within a minute. 

There is some tingling initially, which does die down, so that's pretty good. I layer my eye cream and day moisturiser with SPF over it, and the end result is skin that looks great on it's own, and under makeup. There is a definite dewiness to the skin that continues throughout the day, and I always think it's a telling sign when I write the post as the product is noticeably starting to run out - this stuff is legitimately amazing!
