Review: Arencia Vitamin C Booster Shot
It's mid week on one of the busiest weeks of my rotation, and I can already tell you that today has not come fast enough! Thankfully, I'll get a moment to take my breath today, while also getting the chance to see my osteopath, who is legitimately one of my favourite people to see. I mean, not only does she heal me, she also loves talking about one of my favourite topics - cats! Having the day off also means that I get to catch up on everything else that I've neglected in the course of my week, because of my full time job, and general inability to do anything else after going to three pole classes on Monday, pilates on Tuesday and generally just wanting to crawl into bed on Wednesday.
Having a day off also means being able to sit and marinate in my skincare, because the main things on my to do list, aside from seeing my osteo, would be to take a moment to Netflix and sort through my life admin. I've been quietly sorting through my to-do list, and I'm very proud of what I've managed to achieve, namely getting my flu shot about a week ago, after which I rewarded myself for being so brave! I've also been trying to integrate more Vitamin C in my skincare routine, and that has been seriously easy with Arencia!
If you haven't seen my previous posts about Arencia - where have you been? And if you're interested in reading the, you can find them over here and here. This little Korean beauty booster is meant to be appropriate for babes with combination, dry, normal and oil skin, and it's particularly great for those who are looking to deal with dryness, dullness, pigmentation and dark spots. This is a concentrated serum that is packed full of goodness, including a 5% Vitamin C complex that's comprised of pure Vitamin C and Vitamin C derivatives to help brighten the skin and even out the skin tone.
This also has niacinamide in the formula, which can help strengthen the skin barrier, while glutathione is included to combat free radicals, given that it's powerful antioxidant. Last but not least, this also contains Vitamin E, which is a simple, but beautiful ingredient that's great for conditioning the skin, keeping it soft and supple. This is presented as a light yellow serum of medium consistency, packed into a metallic green tube with a screw cap that reveals a nozzle that allows you to control the amount of product easily. This doesn't have an obvious scent to it, so for anyone who might be concerned, you don't have to worry about it.
It smooths over the skin really easily, and it disappears without a trace within a minute. I love that it doesn't leave the skin feeling tacky, and rather, my skin looks bright from the get go, and stays that way. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tingly or unpleasant, and it's currently available from a number of different retailers, including Sephora, for $37 for 30 ml. Alternatively, you can also head to Yesstyle and use my affiliate code 'TPRINCESS20' for 5% off your purchases, and it already retails for even less at $19 for 30ml - winning! What's your favourite skin vitamin?
