Review: Ms Morning Bounce Back Sheet Mask
Happy Sunday, my little cats! I don't know what you're all doing this Sunday, but I can tell you that on my end, we're looking at a day of planning our upcoming trip to Europe for later this year, which is shaping up beautifully, and I'll also be busy getting organising the end of my week/start of the following week. This also means that I'll be sitting around the house in my skincare for quite a while today, masking while I'm multitasking!
The mask of choice today is the Ms Morning Bounce Back Sheet Mask, which I thought sounded like a great perk me up for my skin. It's marketed as an exosome and collagen powered sheet mask that's meant to help visibly plump and restore skin elasticity in ten minutes. This is supposed to help deliver concentrated actives into the skin efficiently, without weighing down the skin, so that your complexion can be left looking fuller, smoother and refreshed. As someone who is constantly running (behind) to stay ahead of it all, short of actually physically running, my skin can sometimes be left looking a little dull or flat, and masking has always been my secret weapon for giving my skin a boost.
I was intrigued by this concept when I first read up on it - when they talk about it being freeze dried exosome technology, they mean that the serum has been freeze dried directly into the sheet mask, and I thought that sounded interesting. The key ingredients include plant based exosomes, fermented from sugarcane, and meant to help the skin repair and regenerate, while recombinant collagen I and III are supposed to assist in giving your skin that bouncy elasticity.
Additionally, there's glutathione, which is going to help brighten the skin, and a triple peptide complex, all working together to help firm the skin, while reducing puffiness, improve the appearance of lines and stimulate collagen production. This comes as a sheet mask that isn't for people without coordination or decent eyesight, and might be my only gripe with the product. Like most sheet masks, this is sealed in flat packaging that once ripped, shows a sheer face mask with a lacy pattern, and is actually so pretty on.
The problem is that this doesn't have a plastic backing (a win for the environment), which does lead to a struggle that can last for minutes while attempting to peel it apart, just to put it on the face. The serum is also very viscous and stringy, so you need to stand over the sink a little to prevent it from getting everywhere. That said, the results are worth the work, because my skin does feel fuller and plumper, and it does a great job of actually breathing a bit of life into my skin. I'm keeping these in reserve for something to use just before I have an event. This retails for $49 for a pack of five and you can find them over here. Is this something that you'd try?
