Review: Bangn Body Firming and Brightening Beauty Treatment

Sephora is always serving the goods - there's no way I can go in store and only pick up the one thing that's on my list. I always end up adding way more things in my basket, because Sephora has so many products that I want to try! Having been a fan of Bangn Body for a while, I couldn't go past the Bangn Body Firming and Brightening Beauty Treatment. I mean, cruelty free, sustainable beauty packed with Australian botanicals, as well as being Australian made? What's not to love? I've really enjoyed a number of their products, so when I saw the Firming and Brightening Beauty Treatment online, I knew I had to try it!

So, what is their claim to fame? This is a 4-in-1 serum, mask, primer and oil-free moisturiser that's designed to firm, brighten and hydrate the skin, so that you can be left with a glow that's ready to go. This is meant for all skin types, including normal, dry, acne-prone and sensitive skin. It's also supposed to be safe for pregnant people, and meant to support 72 hours of hydration while helping to reduce pigmentation, dark spots and breakouts, in addition to boosting collagen production and rebalancing the skin. It's also formulated to help strengthen the skin barrier function, improve firmness and skin elasticity.

This comes in a sky blue jar that reveals a pale blue product with berry sweet scent once you unscrew the lid. This has a lightweight, gel cream consistency, and it's silky smooth and easy to spread over the skin. It contains tremella fuciformis polysaccharide, which is also known as snow mushrooms, and this can help hydrate the skin by binding moisture to it's surface. It's also said to have anti-ageing properties, thanks to being rich in antioxidants, while improving the levels of hyaluronic acid in the body, so that it can in turn help in moisturising and improving the texture and elasticity of the skin, as well as keeping it bright.

There's also dragon fruit extract, which is steeped in antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients, and great for fighting free radicals and acne, as well as hydrolyzed jojoba esters, which can improve skin elasticity and hydration. Green coffee seed extraction can reduce puffiness, redness and breakouts, as well as improve blood circulation and collagen production. Pineapple fruit extraction, which contains bromelain, can help gently exfoliate the skin, aiding in brightening and improving the skin tone, and fighting pollution damage.

This is slightly cooling, and relatively light on the skin. I love that this is really easy to smooth into the skin - you can choose to either apply a thin layer as a serum or as a thicker layer as an overnight mask, so that you can help trap in the moisture for firmer, plumper skin. Additionally, you can place a very thin layer under your base to help keep the skin hydrated for longer throughout the day, or simply use it as a moisturiser, after cleansing, and let it help keep your skin radiant. I love how moisturising this really is! I don't think it makes a big difference for pigmentation, but it does keep it feeling plump and soft. It's a wonderful accompaniment for the cold, dry days. You can find it over here for $62 for 50g. What's your favourite Bangn Body product?
