As Requested: 10 Minutes To Spare

Now, I realise that 10 minutes may not seem like much, but to some people, 10 minutes of alone time is more than they can afford. If you're in a hurry, or you're fighting 3 ankle biters in a bid to leave the house and still look groomed, then this is the right post for you!
Being makeup obsessed, I can honestly say that while I prefer to put on my makeup slowly and meticulously, I have been able to do a full face of makeup, lashes included, in just under 20 minutes. However, that is not the point of this post. This post is appropriate for those looking to leave in a hurry, and it is also good for the babes out there that don't get the chance to practise as often as I do and want to keep things simple - all it takes is a few bits of makeup!

Step 1: Conceal
Exactly what it sounds like - conceal your undereye bags and blemishes! I like a good creamy concealer to hide all my little imperfections, and remember, if you're looking to tuck those undereye bags away, use a shade that's lighter than your skin tone!

Step 2: Blush
Using concealer will mean that you are likely to be smoothing out your skin tone to one colour under the eyes, so make sure you add a bit of pink to your complexion! To keep things easy breezy, consider a peachy shade for a 'just blushed' look.

Step 3: Eyeshadow
Remember, you're not doing anything complex, so steer clear of glitters and wild colours. Instead, stick to shades that will complement your eye colour. For me, that's shades of brown, bronze and gold. I would start with a matte brown shade (don't forget to pop on an eyeshadow primer first!), go over it with a bit of shimmer, then pop on a darker shade on the outer corners of the eyes if you're feeling fancy. Don't forget to do a bit of quick blending so that you don't look like you're colour blocking.

Step 4: Mascara
For babes where this matters, a quick slick of paint on the lashes can really brighten your eyes and make you look more awake. Just don't be in such a hurry that you accidentally stab yourself in the eye with the mascara wand!

Step 5: Lipstick or gloss
Finally, to complete your look, get some lippie on that face! Stick with neutral shades if you're in a rush (bold colours are too tricky on the run!), and don't pick one that is indelible.

Et voila! You're done! Now scoot that caboose out the door, and you're ready to face the world (not that you weren't before, but you might feel a little better about it now!).

What are your quick makeup tips and tricks? What's your quickie makeup look?
