Review: Lancome Advanced Genifique Yeux Light Pearl Eye Illuminator

Loving Lancome really comes down to two things:
  1. My mother loves, loves, loves the brand, and she passed that onto me
  2. Lancome works - period
The Advanced Genifique Yeux Light Pearl Eye Illuminator Youth Activating Concentrate is another Lancome gem, and it's really not hard to understand why.

This comes in a silver bottle with a unique applicator. This applicator has a couple of blobby bits to it, and they are meant to help with massaging the serum into the skin. To apply to serum to the undereye area, lightly rub the applicator across the skin using gentle strokes. The resin microbeads are meant to create a soft focus appearance to the under eye skin.

I love how cool this always feels against my skin, and that's without having to store it in the fridge. I can also really appreciate how hydrated the under eye area feels, particularly at this time of year. The results definitely live up to my expectations, leaving my eyes looking refreshed and ready for a day of makeup.

his comes in a gradient silver bottle that has an applicator built into the cap. The applicator is actually really unique - it's meant to help massage the eye serum into the skin. This allows you to apply the serum to the under eye area by rubbing it back and forth. The formula apparently contains resin microbeads that are meant to soft focus the skin in the area. That sounds cool, but does it work?

Yes! Again, it's early days, but I can definitely see a difference just by applying it. My dark eye circles are less noticeable, and the under eye area feels incredible well hydrated. If this is how it is at the beginning, then I'm psyched for how it's going to look a few weeks down the road!his comes in a gradient silver bottle that has an applicator built into the cap. Lancome - do you ever make anything that I don't love? I can certainly understand why my mother has been so in love with Lancome for the longest time! I've been trying out the Advanced Genifique Yeux Light Pearl Eye Illuminator Youth Activating Concentrate, and while it is still early days at this point to make a call on the long term effects of the serum, I do like the way it works on the skin under my eyes!
As far as luxe skincare goes, Lancome is a well known brand for a reason, and if you haven't tried anything new from Lancome recently, I highly recommend that you pick this up for a spin. This retails for $115, and if you watch the sales, you might be able to pick this up with a gift with purchase! What did you last try by Lancome?
