Review: Antipodes Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Light Day Cream and Eye Cream *

Antipodes has to be one of my favourite skincare lines stocked at Priceline, and for people who have tried it previously, I'm sure you'll know why! Antipodes is a New Zealand based skincare line that makes one of my favourite serums, Hosanna, and they have since added two newbies to their range, the Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Light Day Cream and Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Eye Cream.

Manuka Honey is steeped in antibacterial properties and it's not uncommonly used to aid wound healing, digestion and for tinctures. It's also an ingredient that is beneficial in skincare, as it can help promote fresh, youthful skin.

The Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Light Day Cream comes in a 60 ml brown jar with their signature label, and this features bee venom, Vinanza grape and kiwi seed. The bee venom gives a mild stimulating effect, which results in a tightening feeling, so that your skin will be firmer afterwards.

The grape seeds and kiwi seed mixture is antioxidant-rich and these brighten and lighten the skin through inhibiting melanin production. These also reduce redness and they keep the skin supple. Peony flower is also included to help add brightness.

I find that using this certainly does tighten my skin, and my face does appear to be a little brighter afterwards - a bit of a matte glow! I find the cream to be quite thick, and it goes on rather white to begin with, but it does dry down to become unnoticeable. There is a small amount of tingling  that's not unpleasant and overall, I do like how this works on my skin.

The Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Eye Cream comes in a 30 ml jar with similar packaging and aside from containing Manuka honey, Vinanza grape seed and kiwi skin to brighten the skin under the eyes, this also has Persian silk flowers to hydrate the area.

This has a thicker consistency to their other eye cream, and I do love how great this is for me at night. The hydration is fantastic, and this also reduces the darkness of my undereye circles, which is brilliant for someone who stays up all night!

Antipodes has certainly impressed me again - you can bet I'll be finishing the jars! They can be found at Priceline and David Jones.

What's your favourite Antipodes product? What would you love to try?
