Review: Remington Salon Pro Curls Collective *

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of curls. Like, if I could have it my way, I would certainly have curly hair all the time! I've been told that it'd definitely a grass is greener type situation and I can certainly see that, but it still doesn't change how I feel!

While I generally tend to curl my hair using my GHD or VS Curl Secret, I haven't used curling tongs for a long time, so when I was given the chance to try some out, I thought it'd be a great idea!

This set comes with three different sized barrels (19mm, 13-25mm, 32mm) and a heat protective glove (which is the first time I've ever seen one of these come with an affordable and accessible set like this). The base has a swivel cord, which makes it seriously easy to use, and not at all what I'm used to when I used tongs quite a bit - definitely a step up!

This set makes it easy for swapping the attachments around, and it also heats up within 30 seconds, which means no sitting around, waiting for it to get warm. This uses ceramic technology to distribute the heat evenly, so that you get the style that you want without weird gaps.

What I like most about this set, however, is that this gives me the freedom to actually style my hair according to era (ie do a 50s style) with ease, rather than have three different curlers. And now, I don't need to borrow my friend's curlers anymore! Yay!

I thought I'd share this shot from when I gave myself big, BIG hair (huuurrrrr) and the volume I achieved was phenomenal! This literally only took me 20 minutes - super straightforward! I also managed to get smaller, neater curls, but I liked the 80s vibe I was rocking that day, hence it's inclusion in this post.

Definitely a kit worth trying, particularly if you can't make up your mind about what size you might need!

Do you use curling tongs? What's your favourite Remington product?

  1. I used to have a Remington conical wand which made lovely curls but stopped using it since getting the GHD and then the Cloud 9 straightener. So it's gone to a loving home. I find it's a good and reliable brand for hair tools and change be found in many places.
