Review: MAC Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation *

I absolutely adore this MAC Waterweight SPF 30 foundation and it's not hard to see why! This new release from MAC is a bit of a winner - and I'm going to walk you through why I think so! Firstly, this foundation comes in a a hefty dropper bottle, so whatever you do, make sure you're careful with it when you're transporting it - this looks like it could hurt your foot (if you were to drop it on your tootsies), or shatter if it were to hit the floor.

The dropper bottle means not needing to put your paws into the foundation directly, so another win there! I find one squeeze to be more than sufficient for this. I will say that this is best for people like me, who are looking to just get light or sheer coverage with few, if any, blemishes.

I'm NC30 in this, and it matches my skin tone like a dream! I like how easy it is to blend into the skin, but just watch out - if you're heavy handed with it, it doesn't dry down and build up, so this is best for people who don't need much. I have found that trying to build it up, when I've been a little heavy handed accidentally, hasn't worked as well as just using one drop.

For those girls who enjoy a dewy finish, this is definitely for you! This is also a really easy foundation to blend with a liquid highlighter if you'd prefer an extra dewy glow.

I've been absolutely loving this foundation - it ticks a lot of boxes for me, from the weird hygienic point of view, to the finish. This has been part of my daily routine recently, and I don't see this changing anytime soon!

What MAC foundation have you tried previously? What's your favourite foundation?

  1. I have a love hate relationship with this foundation, it's doesn't build up well on me. The colour match wasn't 100% either, sign. NC25 was too pale, and NC 30 was too dark, I took home NC30 anyway!
