Review: People For Plants Brand Focus *

People for Plants - a skincare line that I've seen kicking around Priceline (also known as Mecca) for a few months now, but never quite got around to trying, so when I was given the opportunity to trial a few items from this range, I was delighted!

Whenever I trial new skincare products, I really, really try to use it for at least three weeks in order to make sure that I am happy with the way my skin feels, that there are no reactions and so I can see any results, which is why there is such a backlog of stuff to get through, but we're getting there!

The foaming cleansing gel isn't quite as foamy as I'd like it be. It comes in a 120ml white tube (which is the standard packaging for this brand - which I think gives it a very clean look) that sits comfortably in my shower caddy, and has grapefruit and aloe in it.

The product itself does have a jelly-like texture to it, and it's clear with a tinge of yellow. This has a light grapefruit scent that washes away quickly, and it leaves the skin feeling refreshed and not particularly tight. I've quite enjoyed incorporating this into my cleansing routine. This can be found for $24.95 in stores and is sulphate free.

I will be honest - I'm not sold on this hand cream. It's not like any other hand cream I've ever tried before, and it feels more like a lotion than a cream. When initially squeezed out of the tube, it feels quite watery, and once you start rubbing it into your skin, it's almost like there's a bit of residue left.

It does eventually get absorbed, but it takes a while for me, and it's the having a weird coating feel that I'm not keen on.

At $14.95, this comes in a 75ml tube and has a pleasant mild lemony scent. This is filled with anti-oxidants, vitamins A and E, as well as shea butter and manuka honey.

I think I may have found a way to get Mr Prince to hydrate his skin! Unlike moisturisers, this particular hydration gel is exactly what it sounds like - a gel, and therefore, it's not particularly creamy and doesn't leave the skin feeling slippery.

This product comes in a 50ml pump tube and is clear and dries quickly on the skin. I find that when I use this, my skin feels a little tight initially. It's a little weird, because you'd expect most skincare products to make your skin feel moisturised, but this bring the hydration without that particular texture to your face. This retails for $29.95 and is oil free and packed with vitamin C, anti-oxidants and amino acids.

The one thing that is a little odd about the packaging, which seems to be the norm for their range of moisturisers, is the pump it comes with. It's very cute, but took me a while to get it going - I almost gave up!

In addition to making your skin feel hydrated as a one off application, this can apparently also be used as a mask, which I haven't had the chance to give it a go as.

This might very well be my favourite item from People for Plants! Think creamy and thick formula, resulting in very soft lips - want them? You've got it with this little tube! This is my current go to and love when it comes to lip balms. I honestly cannot recommend this enough.

This little tube of pucker perfection comes in a variety of six flavours, vanilla and cocoa butter being only one of them, and retails for $9.95.

Thanks to my introduction to the brand, I have since started using their night cream, which is rich and lovely, and also seems to tighten my skin in a good way temporarily, and their toner, which smells of kakadu plums.

People for Plants ticks a lot of boxes - cruelty free, quality ingredients and Aussie all the way!

Have you tried anything from PFP? What would you recommend?

  1. I'm not sure I've tried anything from this brand, and I totally agree that 3 weeks (or more!) is needed to really trial a skincare product x

  3. I always see a People for Plants display when I'm in Priceline (which is about every second day) but I've never bought anything. I was waiting to read a few reviews first and I'm now quite keen on the Hydration Gel and Lip Balm.

  5. Vanilla and cocoa lip balm sounds divine! Just the thought of it makes me want to buy one if only I don't have heaps of lip balms waiting to be used!
I recommend the Rose Mist Toner of theirs as it cleanses your face and still feels moisturised. It's very gentle unlike chemical made toners.
