Review: Isntree Gim PDRN Hydro Bouncy Ampoule and Deep Sleep Mask
It's officially week two of my break, and I'll be looking to take off to a small island adventure tomorrow - I can't wait! The problem with being on holiday, though, is the temptation to try and squeeze it all in. Between wanting to eat all of the things, wedging activities between meals and snacking, and lying to myself about how much R and R I'll actually be getting, I don't find my sleep patterns to be the healthiest when I'm away. It's like being a kid again, where when you're given the promise of time off from your daily worries and stress, you wake up early and stay up late, all to squeeze out every last minute of pleasure you can derive from your holiday.
This does mean that I end up looking a little worse for wear (read: haggard) when I'm not catching enough zzzs, which translates to dark eye bags, tired eyes and just appearing somewhat less perky than usual. I know what I'll be looking forward to when I get back to Sydney, and that's using my Isntree Gim PDRN Hydro Bouncy Ampoule and Deep Sleep Mask combination to try and get my skin back on track. If this sounds familiar to you, it's because I did a reel on it a while back on Instagram, and I'm just getting around to doing this now!
Ok, so what's the deal with this duo? They harness the goodness of PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) from Korean seaweed (gim) to help with skin elasticity and hydration. The Hydro Bouncy Ampoule has 8 types of hyaluronic acid, collagen and squalene to plump up the skin, and it's meant to give the skin a dewy glow, leaving it soft and supple. The serum comes in a translucent bottle with a green cap and a good pump, where two pushes would dispense just enough for my face, neck and decolletage. This has a light, almost jelly-like texture, which seems like it would be sticky, but it isn't, and it gets absorbed quickly. I love how hydrated this makes my skin feel, and it's so soothing after a long, hot day. My skin feels a little plumper, and I love that it just feels that little bit more filled out.
Look, the Gim PDRN Hydro Bouncy Ampoule is pretty great, but my current can't live without is the Deep Sleep Mask - that's where the Gim PDRN really shines! This also has a blend of hyaluronic acids and peptides, in addition to the Gim PDRN, and this is designed to nourish the skin while you sleep, restore hydration and improve elasticity, helping to enhance the skin's glow. Together, it translates into a bouncy, gel texture that has an almost silicone finish once you've spread it over the skin. I use this as the last step of my skincare routine, and let it work it's magic, waking up to a more radiant complexion that looks and feels like I've had a great night's sleep.
I've used Isntree products in the past, and much like the ones I used before, I was suitably impressed by these guys! I love that they also have a decent price point, so you aren't paying through the nose for products that work. These are available at various retailers that sell K-beauty products, such as YesStyle online, where I have an affiliate code for 5% off, 'TPRINCESS20'. I would highly recommend getting both of them, but if you're only able to get one, reach for the Deep Sleep Mask! Do you use a sleep mask?
