Review: Sanctum Organics Gentle Face Exfoliant

The one thing that I would always like to remind people of is that good skin stems from a combination of excellent genetics, and a skincare routine that would match your needs. Part of what's important to me is something that would take off the day for me, while also buffing away the dead skin, allowing for better penetration of the next step of my skincare, allowing glowing, good skin to come through that's smooth and soft. This, of course, means that I need to have an exfoliant as part of that equation, and that's where the Sanctum Organics Gentle Face Exfoliant comes in!

This is touted as a light, creamy scrub that contains fine grains of Certified Organic Rosehip Seeds and Rice Bran that's meant to help remove dead skin cells and impurities. Said to stimulate circulation, so that you can have smoother and brighter skin, this also has the scent of sweet orange oil. Made for babes with normal, dry and combination skin, this has been formulated using native and ethically sourced ingredients, so that you can have a natural exfoliant that's both gentle an invigorating on the skin!

This comes in a pale green/blue tube with a flip lid, and when squeezed, the exfoliant comes out as a light brown creamy scrub with very fine, gritty material made from rosehip seeds and rice bran evenly distributed throughout it. The sweet orange oil isn't zesty - rather, this has more of a sweet, almost floral scent to it. It's recommended that you use this once a week to begin with, before switching it up to twice a week.

To use this, simply massage it into clean, moist skin on both your face and neck. I like doing this in rotational strokes, so that I can comfortably cover the desired surface area with methodical precision. Once you're satisfied with how well you've rubbed this into your skin, you can then wash it off with warm water. I love how this feels on my skin - it's a scrub, but certainly not a harsh one, and I love that it's creamy and that it's easy to work into the skin. It does feel like it exfoliates without drying out my skin, and that it also does a lovely job of removing dead skin and dirt.

It's a beautiful scrub that retails for just under $30 for 75g. Made in Byron Bay, this is vegan and cruelty free, which means that you can feel good about doing good for both your skin, and the little animals! For those seeking an organic skincare solution to their everyday needs, Sanctum Organics is certainly a consideration. Have you tried anything from Sanctum before?
