Review: Bangn Body Firming Oil

Oh my, but it was a nice weekend! After the days of intermittent rain and clouds, it was really lovely to have days filled with some sunshine, even as the nights got cooler over time. We are now firmly headed towards Winter, and we can bid the warmer days good bye, which means that we can also look forward to having dry skin, hair and lips. I know I'm not really selling it, but there are upsides to Winter too - cosy cats in front of the heater, snuggly blanket dates with your partner, where you're sharing a throw while watching TV as you're playing footsies, and really putting your skincare through it's paces to see if it does as the label would suggest.

 

Bangn Body needs no introduction, having just been featured on the blog recently, which you can find over here, and today, we're circling back to what put them on the map to begin with - body care products, but this time, it's in the form that I've been using the most, and that's their brand new Firming Oil! This is a vegan friendly and cruelty free product, which is touted as an all-in-one super oil that's meant to support skin barrier function, while also hydrating and softening the skin.

 

This body oil, which is also meant for the face, is rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E and K. It's made up of a blend of eight oils - pineapple fruit oil, macadamia seed oil, avocado oil, coffee seed oil, olive fruit oil, jojoba seed oil, sunflower seed oil and soybean oil. It carries the scent of pineapple, but not a straight up sort of pineapple - more like a cocktail fragrance that almost comes out a bit like banana. Together, they work to improve skin elasticity and firmness, soothe redness and inflammation, while also helping with skin tone and texture. 

 

It's also designed to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scarring, and it's even appropriate for babes with sensitive and acne-prone skin. This comes in a hefty glass bottle with a generous pump and a clear plastic cap. The golden yellow oil is definitely a less is more situation, where a single push of the pump is enough for a decent surface area, like almost an entire leg. I love that this oil is really comfortable on the skin!

 

This Firming Oil gets absorbed quickly when it's just a thin layer of it on the skin, and as with all oils, it can be easy to over do it, in which case, it does get greasy. My skin absolutely loves it, and it definitely feels nourished and soft, and for $68 for 125ml of product that will last you for a while, as long as you don't pump out too much each time!
