Review: Cerave Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum
In looking through my skincare choices, it's pretty clear to me that Vitamin C features greatly in there. I can think of a few instances when I didn't have any Vitamin C at all in my skincare products, simply through me rotating a few products in and out, and it being a bit of a fluke, and let me tell you, life, and my skin, are both brighter with Vitamin C in it! Cerave is a brand that has gained prominence over the last couple of years, and after hearing people rave about their products, I decided I had to try something from them, and this was my first purchase!
Cerave is available here in Australia at Chemist Warehouse, as well as Adore Beauty, where they will occasionally have GWPs that would make it worth spending your hard earned dough on the brand, which tends to be quite affordable overall, so it's basically a win-win, no matter how you look at it! The Cerave Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum promises to improve the skin tone and texture, leaving it looking brighter, and it's said to be suitable for babes with sensitive skin.
This comes in a tube that might be made out of some sort of metal? Whatever it is, the tube flattens dramatically as the product is removed, so make sure that you're squeezing it from the very end to ensure that you're pushing out as much of the serum as possible. It has a decent sized cap that doesn't make it a fiddly exercise every time you unscrew it to get the product out. The serum has a gentle and lightweight formula, which results in this not being sticky or tacky on the skin.
The key ingredients in this are hyaluronic acid, which is fantastic for helping the skin stay hydrated and plump by attracting water molecules, and Vitamin B5, which is great for improving the skin barrier and creating a healthier environment for the skin. The Vitamin C in the name, and the formula, is, of course, essential for helping to improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation and skin tone, as well as giving your complexion that radiant glow.
I've been using this twice daily, and while my freckles will always be a part of me, I'm happy to report that this has me glowing! It's relatively inexpensive at just under $44 for 30 ml of product, and my skin has been happy with this - a bit of bounce and glow, and this is really easy to love! Have you tried anything from Cerave yet?
