Review: Clarins Double Serum

Clarins is such an iconic brand, and ever since I tried out their Beauty Flash Balm years ago after seeing it mentioned in a glossy magazine, which was one of the first multipurpose products that I dabbled in, I've been rather enamoured with the brand. Over the years, I've seen a number of interesting goodies come from the brand, and I have to say that there's been one standout product from what I've tried, and that has to be the Clarins Double Serum!

The Clarins Double Serum has been around for quite a while, and they recently revamped it to evolve with the times, making it so that it now has an improved formula, in addition to being a more sustainable product! I love the idea that this can help reinvent your skin, while also having been reinvented itself! The Double Serum gets it's name from having a dual formula, and this is made up of 95% naturally sourced ingredients.

It contains a combination of 22 plant extracts, all picked to pack a punch, and these include turmeric extract, as well as 5 new pure active molecules to stimulate the skin. There's also something called Skin Defence technology, which is meant to target the signs of ageing. Included in it is also organic giant provencal reed extract, which to supposed to help improve the skin's resilience to the environment, and help reduce the damaging effects from the environmental stressors.

It all comes packaged in a new and improved bottle, which contains recyclable materials, and it's basically a bottle within a bottle, with them holding a hydric and lipidic system in two separate containers, so that they can be preserved without mixing. I love that this has a clever little twist lock that makes it so that you can travel with this bottle, preventing it from leaking in transit. Each pump releases a small amount of product from either container, and I find about two pushes of the pump to be adequate for my face and neck.

This doesn't have a scent that I can pick up, which is great for sensitive people. I find that it has a moderately light consistency, and despite being a double serum, it doesn't take long for this to be absorbed. I've been using this for at least a month, and I can see a difference in my skin with it's use - I honestly think that it has been great for keeping my skin radiant, smooth and firm. This comes in a couple of different sizes, and at $130 for 30 ml of product, this isn't cheap, but if you're after quality, this should be an add to cart. What's your go to Clarins product?
