Review: Nu Skin Seasonal Powerlips Collection

There is nothing that I love quite as much as test driving new lip products - we're talking instantaneous change, and results of wear that would be easy to track over time. That, and the fact that lip products are pretty - that's straightforward to enough for me!

I've been busy trying out the Nu Skin Powerlips in their seasonal shades for Autumn/Winter, and I'm loving the shades for the cooler seasons. They come in 3 shades - Potential, Ambition and Noble.

For those who haven't tried Nu Skin's Powerlips yet, Imma give you a little rundown on these babies. These lippies go on wonderfully smoothly, in an almost creamy formula, and they dry down mostly matte. There are also some with a bit of a metallic finish to them, which is what Potential actually has.

The formula incorporates Vitamin E, beeswax, avocado oil, kaolin and silicones. The Vitamin E, avocado oil and silicones act to soften and moisturise the lips, while the beeswax soothe and help protect against irritants. The kaolin is there to help support rich long lasting colour.

They come in a clear tube with a doe foot applicator, and they go on smoothly. I really like that this dries down (I have a major pet peeve about so called matte liquid lipsticks that don't dry down - an absolute misnomer!), and that they sit on my lips without drying them out too much. There is also no difference in how pigmented the Powerlips are, whether they are paler shades or a more vibrant colour. Mostly, I appreciate that they don't budge much and touch ups are few and far between.

These babies retail for $39 each, and you will find more about these over here.

What your favourite Nu Skin product? Have you tried the Powerlips before?
