Review: Australian Glow Everyday Gradual Tanning Lotion
We all know what it means when the sun starts staying out slightly later, and the days start to warm up that little bit more - it's time to start gardening and propagating plants! Well, it is if you're on a plant blog, but this isn't it, so we're going to talking about something that is a little more pertinent to us, and that is, of course, fake tanning! I know that the weather we're experiencing this Spring isn't particularly conducive to us catching rays from the giant orb in the sky, so it's time to look at what the alternatives are, and if you're a lazy girl like me, but you're also a regular body lotion user, then this could be just right for you.
Australian Glow is, as you might have guessed it from the name, Australian born and bred, and this company has a whole range of tanning products, some of which I hope to showcase in the future. I've met the brains (and beauty!) behind the brand, and I'm always keen to support Aussie babes that hustle hard for a living, and you can absolutely feel that in the goodies from the brand! Our focus today, however, is the Everyday Gradual Tanning Lotion, which is such an easy product to work into my daily routine.
This aims to give you a natural, buildable tan that doesn't look orange, all while it works hard to moisturise the skin. This is infused with certified organic hemp, as well as other great ingredients, such as green tea extract, witch hazel, vitamin E, cocoa, aloe vera and goji berries. They come together in a lotion that has a beautiful medium texture, making it easy to spread without being drippy. This then dries down comfortably, so that you won't think about it smearing and looking uneven.
With one layer, this gives the barest sunkissed appearance to my skin, and I can see that this does actually appreciably deepen over the next few days, in that it becomes more obviously brown over time. This has quite a natural undertone to it, so this actually does look like you've actually be outside soaking up the (harmful) rays, when you've actually been doing your tanning at night, or whenever you've had a shower and you're coating your body in it afterwards.
The scent is not particularly strong, and to me, it has a mild, almost coconut but not quite fragrance that doesn't really linger at all. I feel like the results really speak for themselves, and this is what makes me more curious about what the brand has to offer. You can try out Australian Glow for yourself, as it's currently available at Priceline, and this Summer saviour sits at a very affordable $19.99 for a large tube with a flip lid. They are vegan and cruelty free, and the packaging is made from Ocean Waste Plastics - I mean, how cool is that? What are you looking to try from Australian Glow?
